The town’s iconic abbey ruins stand proudly atop the East Cliff, reached by the famous 199 steps, and offer breathtaking views across the harbour and out to sea. Below, Whitby’s working harbour is full of character, with fishing boats, pleasure cruises, and a lively atmosphere. The twin piers stretch out into the North Sea, making them ideal for a scenic stroll.
