"Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way .
Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery.
So glad we had booked as they were turning people away !

"A bit of a hidden gem. Really nice facilities, with the outdoor pool a real plus. The weather being nice definitely helped. Would recommend and great value for money.

"Lovely quiet village not far from Thirsk and the A1(M). A friendly welcome and a clean comfortable room. We booked for dinner and the food was delicious and service equally friendly. A 10 minute walk after dinner to the abbey ruins down the road was a nice surprise. Great bed and tasty breakfast. All in all an enjoyable place to stop over on the way up to the Lake District. Only down side was that we couldn't connect to their internet."

"I can't really fault it. The property is nice, staff were really nice, the room was just what we hoped for. We had a lovely evening meal followed by a good nights sleep. Breakfast options were all cooked options, although I'm not a breakfast eater so only had some toast. "

The room was very clean a pretty with everything you needed. That evening I had a drink in the bar and the owners were so friendly and welcoming offering any assistance I may need. The breakfast was delicious and while I didn’t eat a meal there the menu looked great and very varied. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. "

"We had an absolutely fabulous one night stay at the Cottage Lea's Country Hotel.
The location is perfect - secluded and quiet, with beautiful scenery and delightful, well maintained gardens which had plenty of comfortable outdoor seating, as well as relaxing seating in the lounge area.
Our room was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable - the bed made it difficult to get out of!
