Words fail to describe the beauty that is about to sweep into the Wet Mountain corridor as fall approaches and the air becomes crisper. We can't wait to wander through the apple orchards in Penrose, fish among the gorgeous changing aspens at Lake Isabel and hike St. Charles trail and one last stretch to Venable Falls to capture the beauty of the changing leaves.

On the home front, our hillside is a gorgeous balance of pine trees and aspen. We have loved watching the tiny aspen leaves unfurl into their full glory. What a beautiful golden grove they will be when they fully turn yellow at their peak!

We would love to welcome you for one more stay before we close our reservations for the season around Thanksgiving. Snow is unpredictable and makes our driveway a challenge that we need to manage carefully. Beautifully designed for comfort and recreation, Star Wrangler offers something for everyone. Mountain breezes and ceiling fans keep the home cool during the summer months and radiant heat flooring, a wood burning stove and on-demand hot water keep it warm and toasty in the winter. A simple, but beautiful rustic corner office with Star Link access is ready for you with magnificent views in our charming loft overlooking Lover’s Leap and within the warmth of a magically themed star retreat for the little ones. Need to maintain your strength…choose well, there is more than enough mountainside to keep you busy, but an integrated weight room with yoga mats, bike and free weights is waiting to cut to the last detail.

This beautiful home is perfectly located an hour and fifteen minutes from southern Colorado Springs and 15-40 minutes from so many wonderful adventures in Westcliffe, Florence, San Isabel and Pueblo. Discover the magic of one man’s dream at Bishop’s Castle, find the perfect vintage treasure as you antique through Florence, shop and nibble delightful treats on your way to a music festival, car show or trip to see the universe at the observatory in Westcliffe. Discover the best kept secrets of Victorian living at the gorgeous Rosemount museum on your way to ride the river boats through the Riverwalk in Pueblo.
