Great Place for a Mountain Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bluff Mtn Retreat met all our expectations. We spent most of our time on the large covered deck. Even though it rained most days we were there, it was still enjoyable. The house is conveniently located to all our favorite places. It has a large open area in the kitchen/great room and comfortable beds. It was cool enough one evening, we got to have a fire in the fireplace. I would definitely recommend this rental We have gone through Carolina Mountain Vacation Rentals quite a few years to rent cabins in this area and have always been very pleased!

The Cabin was cozy. Great location from Frosty's Trees.Very clean and smelled that way the whole time there. Didn't get a chance to use Hot Tub. Beautiful views for sure.

One of the best!

This was of the best cabins I have had the pleasure to stay in! Very clean and close to everything. I will absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a get away and would definately stay again.

Beautiful backdrop!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will want to come again! Beds were comfy, hot tub was clean, and you really can’t beat the views!! I would suggest bringing grippy socks or house slippers bc the floors are kind of slick.

Peaceful and relaxing

5 of us stayed for our annual girls’ trip. We loved sitting out on the balcony, used the hot tub, visited downtown and a nearby winery (highly recommend!) and hiked the Grayson highlands and saw the wild ponies.

Had a fantastic experience! From ease of check-in to beautiful views, fun activities and comfy beds - it was a great getaway. Bluff Mountain Retreat was perfect for our party of 7 (that included 3 boys age 13). The accommodations included everything we needed and more. The hot tub was relaxing and game room was entertaining. Even though it was a little chilly and rainy, we opted for an afternoon of Monopoly (from the game room). Love this rental property and West Jefferson! Can’t wait to go back!

Great mountain vacation home. Well stocked and clean

Nice house. No communication from rental agency …. Had to call them on day of check in. Place was clean and exactly as listed. Bathroom on first floor needs to be repaired but other than that great place.

We would definitely stay there in the future. The only concern we had was with the hard wood floors; even barefoot, the floors were very slippery. Maybe they were cleaned with something that caused this.

Beds were very comfortable and my kids loved the throw blankets all over the house. Unfortunately we forgot our suits so couldn’t take advantage of the hot tub :( only suggestion would be to add a Keurig brought some kcups with us but couldn’t use, luckily Talia Espresso saved the mornings - highly recommend for a cup of morning joe when you’re in West Jefferson. Had less than stellar service from Booneshine Restaurant and New River Brewing Ale House but would recommend Just Wing It!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at Bluff Mtn retreat. The property had not been thoroughly cleaned, but upon calling the property manager they resolved the issue. The house was nice and accommodated our party of 9. It is a pet friendly home so there was lots of pet hair, which is to be expected. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.
