Open up your laptop, get a little work done, take in the view of the island, and then head right back down to the sofa, snuggled up with a good novel or the Sylt TV channel playing in the background. Maybe the sauna is already running—it can even be conveniently pre-programmed—while evening slowly settles over the island outside.

And that’s exactly why the “Friesenkrone” is the perfect starting point for authentic Sylt days: a quick trip to Feinkost Meyer in the morning, then a spontaneous trip to Wenningstedt Beach, followed by a fish platter or pasta at Gosch or La Pergola, and in the evening, perhaps a stroll all the way to Kampen. Or simply take a leisurely stroll toward Keitum when the island quiets down.
