"We stayed at the hotel for a three-day trip to Vienna without our children. Upon arrival, we were informed that the pool would be closed from 2:00 PM on Saturday due to a private event. Unfortunately, we had not been informed of this in advance. The pool and spa facilities were the primary reason we chose this hotel, so this came as a major disappointment. After spending the day exploring the city, we had expected to return and enjoy the facilities we had specifically booked and paid for. The unexpected closure of the pool significantly affected our stay and effectively ruined our Saturday. I travel extensively for work and stay in hotels on a regular basis, so I have a good sense of what to expect from hotels in this category. Unfortunately, this hotel gave the impression of being overwhelmed by its own success, where private events and outside visitors seemed to be given a higher priority than the guests actually staying at the hotel. In addition, we did not find the staff particularly welcoming or courteous. While we understand that special events can occasionally affect hotel operations, we would have expected both advance communication about the closure and a more professional, guest-focused attitude from the staff. Overall, the experience fell well short of our expectations and did not reflect the standard we anticipated when booking this hotel."
