Rooms perfect with en suite and views when sat outside were amazing. Loved watching the red kites . Central to all walking spots and hosts were friendly and nothing wasnt too much trouble for them. "Had a lovely time staying here. Different from staying in a hotel. Hot drinks offered to us every time we came in. Beautiful big bedroom with a large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Clean, tidy, really comfortable bed. Had the best 2 nights sleep I’ve had for ages. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the proprietors are lovely, warm, friendly people. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return next time we’re in the area. Thank you both x"

"very old property which made it interesting but inevitably this comes with limitations. Older buildings have smaller rooms for example. Overall it was a very pleasant place to stay, convenient for the Hay festival. Enough shops to enable a pleasant time strolling through the town."

"The accomadation was very clean throughout. Daily service towels bathroom, bins etc. Wifi facilities excelent. Comfortable and warm accomadation."

"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "
