This is a home where rainy days, winter nights, and long weekends are just as enjoyable as summer afternoons.
Guests will have private access to the entire home, including the parking area and yard in the front of the home. You may occasionally see people in the driveway, who are driving through the access the hangar at the rear of the building.
Guests will not have access to the hangar or parking area at the back of the building. There is also a locked closet with cleaning supplies, etc. that will not be accessible to guests.
You are free to reach out to me at any time for assistance or if you have questions about the home or the area.
The Hangar House is located in a small subdivision right on Wolf Lake airstrip. Many of the homes in the area are hangar homes and many of the neighbors are pilots. The area is private and quiet, aside from the comings and goings of small planes and helicopters in the area.
The neighborhood is in a great central location between Palmer and Wasilla, and there are many breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques within driving distance.
Here are some distances to give you an idea:
8 miles to downtown Palmer (15 minutes)
8.4 miles to Wasilla (17 minutes)
45 miles to Anchorage (50 minutes)
A car is required to get around, and AWD is handy in the winter. You`ll have a driveway with a few parking spots available to you.
We are on a well and septic tank, so please don`t flush anything but toilet paper down the toilets.
This home is right on the airstrip, so you will hear noise from airplanes taking off and landing in the neighborhood. The house has well insulated windows. However, you`ll still hear some noise from the planes, both inside and outside of the home.
You may occasionally see people on the grounds utilizing the garage or hangar, providing snow plow or lawn services, or taking out the trash, though you`ll otherwise have private access to the home.
You`ll need to sign a waiver before your stay regarding the rules of the nearby airstrip and the hot tub.
There is a private outdoor area at the home-- though because the home is in a neighborhood and we want to be good neighbors, there are quiet hours outside after 9pm.
This home is equipped with a device that monitors the environment inside the property (including noise levels, temperature, and motion) to ensure guests have a pleasant stay and our neighbors are not disturbed. There is no camera involved and it does not record sound.
The Hangar House is in a neighborhood, so it is important to observe the 9pm quiet time outside in order to be good neighbors.

There is no driving access to the airport or any other parts of the neighborhood from the cul-de-sac. Please do not drive in our neighbors` driveways or on any other parts of their private property.
All cars must fit in the driveway - please do not park in the neighborhood.
