"The resort is one of the nicer ones in the area, the front staff was super nice and upgraded our room to ocean view for a fair discount. Our original room had the bed in a loft and a hike down some loft type stairs to the bathroom... it would not have worked for us. The restaurant overpriced but then what isn't these days. The biggest complaint was the mattress was so saggy and old it was seriously the worst I've ever seen. They just put a pad on top to hide that fact. so for that alone it...

"Great location and wonder ocean view. However, for a hotel at this price level it's problematic that wifi - and only very slow wifi at that - is only available in a few communal locations, and not in the lodges. It is also problematic that a hotel in a remote location has kitchen facilities in the lodges, but neither utensils nor cookware."

"Beautiful property! You have access to the trails right next to the ocean and it was the prettiest walk I’ve ever been on. The rooms are well designed with convenience in mind - remote control lighting, outlets, B&O portable speaker, etc etc. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. Will return to this property anytime :) "

"Overall terrific. Chatted with owner and she was very friendly. Only drawbacks were no real food prep area (though I’m sure that was stated on listing ) and a small deck to look out to the ocean Would have been nice. There were a couple of chairs. Would definitely stay again."

"This was a great spot in the redwoods! The house was clean and well stocked with amenities. The two bedrooms were on the lower (ground) floor, but the living areas and front door were up the flight of stairs. There was a back door for entry at ground level."

"Location is the highlight of this Gualala studio. The stairs faded quickly into the spectacular views. This is a special retreat from the ordinary. Miren is a fantastic host, her knowledge of the area, attention to detail & warm hospitality all a highlight of our stay. We spent 3 nights & explored nearby, but the Anchor Bay beach below this studio makes this location a place of pure contentment, no need to roam. We hope to return."

"There was no heater in the house and as note in my questionnaire we were all 3 in our 80 and 70 No heat was mentioned This person that kept checking on us Vancasa knew nothing about the house. We did not have TV because there were no instructions. No information sheets about what to do upon checking out . This has never happened to me with a VRBO normally everything is typed out and very easy for our stay. Excellent clean kitchen, with everything you might need to cook with."
