"We stayed in a supervisor room with jacuzzi and mountain view. The room/appartmemt had a small kitchen, living room, two bedrooms + a bathroom. Unfortunately there was not sufficient hot water in the evening, which spoiled the jacuzzi experience.
Overall we found the Aspen Court a good option in the Franz Josef area and would come back another time.
Just outside the town you can take a small road and drive up to a parking space from which you can walk through rainforest and glacier landscape...

"We had friends visiting from Aussie so were doing a south island road trip. A great stay at this property at Franz Josef. Cute cabin style, warm and quiet. Could sleep 9 so is a good option for families and groups.

"Fantastic host, very friendly and gave us great suggestions of where to go and where to eat. Accomodation slightly out of town but peaceful. Huge bedroom. Breakfast was delicious. Only thing i think could be improved was the tv only had 4 channels and two of those were sport but there were dvds (although very old titles) that could be borrowed from the lounge. Would definitely stay here again."

"Really noisy. Dryer started at 10pm and was finished an hour later but started every 2 minutes for 1 minute the next hour. "Spent a fabulous night here while waiting to go on the helicopter the next morning to visit the glacier. Greeted very wamly at reception and our accommodation was huge!! Two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Was about a 5 min drive on the edge of town - we went to town to see the kiwis and have dinner. Would stay here again. "

"Very nice lodge! Stayed at a studio, which was clean and comfortable. I only had one neighbour, but the lodge is not very soundproof, so I could hear their conversations until they went to bed at 10pm (which was ok).
Nonetheless, I would book again - very easy parking and comfortable bed."
