Lovely place
Very lovely and clean place! Super friendly staff, great for kids, everything was tidy and nice. We can definitely recommend!

The facilities are so nice and clean, children loved the hot pools, trampoline and go carts, they had so much fun they want to return. Met some lovely fellow campers there. Staff were very nice.

This is a hidden treasure! Room/cabin was clean comfortable and full of amenities unusual for this kind of setting. Beautiful surroundings of you like quiet, rural water views and hotpools. The staff goes the extra mile to make sure you have what you need! Highly recommend a stay here. We'll be coming back!

The hot pools alone are a great reason to stay here! Do note that some of the accommodations do not include bedding. We ended up upgraded to a 2 bedroom cabin with kitchen and private washroom which did have bedding and towels. Park was well kept with laundry available.

Great stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The hot springs were great and the staff was very professional and friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was a studio apartment. The park is located right on a bay and it was very pretty.

clean and relax and calm atmosphere the children in the swimming pool did adhere to the rules, splashing, hitting with noodles, jumping very annoying.

Hi Cornelia, thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear that the children in the pools disturbed your stay. We do explain the pool rules to all guests when they check in at the office and do regular pool checks throughtout the day. We hope you decide to stay with us again soon.

Great Stay, we'll be back!
Our family stayed in a deluxe chalet and it was so spacious! We had our own private back yard, two separate bedrooms and a large living area. The mineral pool was great, made your skin feel silky smoothe. Will definitely stay there again.

Lovely spot
We loved our stay here. The staff, hot pools, cabin and guests were all fantastic. We will definitely come here again for a casual family escape. Keep up the great work team Athenree Holiday Park!

The Thermal Pool is the big drawcard here, good to see it gets drained every night, so it’s clean.

Affordable stay
The cabin we stayed was nice and clean with comfy beds. The shared toilet and shower room was clean n okay. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. It is a quiet place, there's nothing much around the place. It is an one hour drive to Tauranga, booked as it was good deal but that hour drive feels bit much.

Obviously a very busy little place in summer but just as cute in winter. The pools were fun for the kids and the accommodation had everything we needed for a brief stopover.

Peaceful location, very well maintained holiday park. All was clean and smart and the welcome was very warm. The Hot Pools within the complex are pristine and a pleasure to use. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Quiet and relaxing one nights stay in the Studio accomodation.... has everything you need.. separate bathroom, lounge/kitchen... just perfect for what we wanted .... lovely relaxing thermal spa b4 bed... perfect 👍🙏
