We booked this property for two nights expecting a one-bedroom unit, which was essential as we were traveling with a child. About one hour before arrival, the host informed us that the couch does not convert into a bed. Upon arrival, it became clear that the seating was a love seat, not suitable for sleeping. The unit was also a studio, not a one-bedroom, which did not match the listing. The overall condition of the unit was concerning. There were no clean sheets or bath/hand towels. In the closet, we found wet, dirty sheets and towels stored in garbage bags, which was very unhygienic. The only towels available were two beach towels that were torn, stained, and had a strong odor. The air conditioning unit showed visible mold, mildew, and heavy dust, and the balcony door did not lock, which raised safety concerns. I tried several times to resolve the situation directly with the host, but communication was unsuccessful, and no solution was provided. Because there was no safe sleeping arrangement for a child and the condition of the unit did not meet basic expectations, we decided not to stay at the property at all and had to arrange alternative accommodations. This experience did not meet the standards described in the listing, and future guests should be aware.

Communication was horrible from the start. When we arrived, we weren’t even on the list for security—even though I had already sent all of our info. It took security 15 minutes just to get ahold of the host. Then we got to the room and couldn’t get in because the code didn’t work… and someone was inside the unit.We tried calling the host (yes, it was after midnight), but got no answer. We had to go all the way back to security—who, by the way, were far more helpful than the host even though they aren’t affiliated with the rental. They reached out to another number and eventually the host moved us to a different unit.Once we finally got inside, the place was disappointing. They ask you to take your shoes off for the white carpet, but the carpet was stained and sticky. The room felt “mid” at best. I grabbed a cup for water and it was dirty. Overall the place just felt unclean, and we didn’t feel comfortable spending time in the room. We stayed only because it was a short trip and spent most of our time on the patio.Would not recommend.

We’ve stayed at many VRBO property’s throughout the years, but this was the first time we’ve experienced such disappointment. I will start with the PROS:Spectacular views, friendly staff and beautifully maintained grounds! CONS: Poor communication with/from the host, no blankets provided for the bed, condo was not clean, dirty/wet towels (possibly from the renters prior to us) left in the closet, leaving a horrible mildew smell throughout the condo, filthy carpet (even though there were strict instructions to remove shoes due to the white carpet) poorly stocked kitchen, no beach essentials, other than towels (although we purchased two beach chairs and “donated” them to the condo) parking difficulties (limited open spaces in the evening) and located in a less desirable/less safe area of Oahu.

Overall it was pretty okay. The host was not very clear about any of the other items we needed like how to access to pool, where to throw the trash, where was the laundry room, and there were not checkout instructions. It says to take off your shoes cause the carpet is white but we got in there and the carpet was very dirty with heavy staining all over there place. There was trash underneath the bed and socks that didn’t belong to us. Bed was comfy and big so that was a plus and the a/c worked decent cause this building is pretty old so all things considered the a/c was pretty good.

Me and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon and while we were not expecting a ritz Carlton experience, we were very disappointed. The property itself is amazing, very unique, quiet and romantic. There are wild peacocks, chickens and the view is amazing! The actual unit and communicating with the owner was very disappointing and frustrating. To start, she let us come early to drop food off which was nice but then she forgot to let us know that our unit was ready for check in until I followed up around 8 pm. When we showed there were no sheet pans for the oven which we were hoping to use. No big deal but the owner asked us to buy them and they would reimburse us which was a kind gesture, but not something I was comfortable or wanting to do. Then later, we asked her when the pools hours were or how to access the pool since all the gates were locked the few nights we tried to go, to which she said “just open the gate.” When we tried to clarify our question she only told us “sorry” which was a bit frustrating as we then had to ask another resident about the pool. There were a few other questions we had that got completely ignored by her— we were left on read 4 times. Two of which were about laundry and check out.

Every year my two sons and I stay at this condo, and we absolutely LOVE it! It truly feels like our home away from home. Vanessa is always so easy to reach and goes above and beyond to accommodate our needs.On our most recent trip, my youngest son wasn’t feeling well, and Vanessa kindly allowed us a late checkout so he could rest before our flight—something I was so grateful for. She also always gives us wonderful ideas of things to do with the boys, which makes our trips extra special.We feel so blessed to be able to return here year after year. Thank you, Vanessa, for opening your home to us and making each stay memorable. Mahalo!

Terrible even the bathroom rug had hair and lint all over them. Disheartening and anger when first walking in . I did report the conditions to Vrbo Vanessa duct the calls and emails, until the day before it was time to leave. Bathroom sink was told a clog there was roach dust under the refrigerator leading into the kitchen

space was newly renovated, location is in a huge condo near the beach. there are flocks of peacocks that live in the condo property which are very noisey and seem to make their noise at all hours of the nights. There is also a bus that comes at all hours and has to reverse in front of the parking lot and very loud beeping which wakes u up in the middle of the night and wee hours of the morning.

I enjoyed this place a lot. Smooth check in and check out. The parking lot was the best part due to all the beautiful peacock birds roaming around. It was nice staying on the west side of the mountain. Renting a car is a definitely must to stay here as I was gone most of the time exploring the island. Carpet could get replaced to make the apartment nicer but I enjoyed my stay. Had all the amenities needed.

Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war sehr nett und unkompliziert. Der Ausblick aus dem Apartment ist wirklich großartig, und bei den warmen Temperaturen war die Klimaanlage ein echter Segen. Leider ist die Ausstattung insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Besonders gestört hat mich der Teppich, der offenbar mal weiß war, aber inzwischen voller Flecken ist. Darunter liegt ein schöner Holzboden – für mich völlig unverständlich, warum man den nicht einfach sichtbar lässt. Auch in der Küche fehlte es an grundlegenden Dingen: kein Geschirrtuch, keine Schere, ein alter Schwamm – alles sehr minimalistisch. Im Bad gab es keine Haken zum Aufhängen von Handtüchern. Die Lüftung war stark verschmutzt und wirkte extrem unhygienisch, ebenso wie die Fenster, die voller Schlieren waren. Eine Lampe im Flur funktionierte nicht, und der Lampenschirm im Wohnzimmer war locker und fiel herunter. Im gesamten Apartment waren deutliche Abnutzungserscheinungen sichtbar. Besonders unangenehm fand ich die Gardinen – sie müssten dringend ausgetauscht werden. Beim Anfassen blieb ein weißer Film auf meinen Fingern zurück, was wirklich kein gutes Gefühl hinterlässt. Waschmöglichkeiten gibt es zwar auf dem Stockwerk, aber das Prozedere war völlig unklar. Ich musste mir erst im Office für 5 Dollar eine spezielle Karte kaufen, die dann zusätzlich mit Guthaben aufgeladen werden muss. Es wäre sehr hilfreich, wenn die Gastgeber diese Karte direkt zur Verfügung stellen würden. Fazit: für ein paar Tage okay

Dirty

The room was dirty. The couch legs were broken. There was dirty laundry left over from the last guest. I asked if they had beach chairs they reply yes there are 2 in the closet. They were both broken and rusted. The carpets were stained. The draps were held up with a rubber band. I should be receiving a refund on this location.

Spectacular view but some issues

First the good - this place has an amazing view, great location for exploring the west coast of Oahu, super comfortable bed, wonderful pool BBQ area. However, our very short stay was extremely bumpy - starting with a poor check in process where our names hadn’t been sent ahead of time and the folks from the towers were not particularly helpful even though the host had sent info a few minutes later it still took about an hour to finally get in to the unit after first arriving at the gate and being denied entry. Then the next morning the water was shut off for the building containing our unit for the entire day. Unsure if the host was aware this was planned for the day or not, but we were not informed before checking in that it was going to happen and were not able to shower or clean up before heading to the airport which was not ideal. If our stay had been longer either might not have been a major issue, but as it was it was pretty frustrating especially as I was traveling with my two young daughters.

Beautiful View in Declining Neighborhood

The room has a beatiful view and was very clean. However the room is outdated and needs a complete makeover. The photographer did a wonderful job hiding the deteriorated paint, carpet, rusted bathroom and delaminating tub. The condo's landscape is well maintained but the overall building clearly shows its age. Suspect from the 70's. The neighborhood where you access the beaches have significantly declined with obvious drug issues and homelessness problems making you feel vulnerable and unsafe. The comdo does have 24 hr security and did provide a high level of safety while inside the compound gates.

The Towers

Things we loved: the view was phenomenal! Loved our morning coffee and evening wine on the balcony. Good use of space. Comfy bed and lots of hot water and pressure in the shower. Lots of towels etc.The grounds are very well maintained. Pool and bbq area are great. Vanessa communicates well through direct messaging not Vrbo.Things we didn’t love: apartment needs some tlc and updating but does not affect the overall experience…and the carpets need to go lol Would we stay here again? Yes we definitely would.
