Randy was great to work with and I was happy to return the favours when needed to accomodate general property maintenance or minor condo issues over my 90 day stay.Left the condo in the same state as received and happy to do my part in the relationship,I would not hesitate to consider a rental with Randy in the future should the opportunity arise.Thanks Randy, cheers.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed at this lovely property in March. The pictures posted are very accurate as the condo is beautiful. Everything one could possibly need is furnished, which makes it very comfortable for a long term stay. We took the bus as it comes right outside the entrance to the main gate. It is easy to get to all the Kapolei shopping centers; including the new mall and Costco. The beach is within walking distance. A self laundry is available on each floor. We loved the view as it is hard to beat!! Randy kept in touch with us and everything was smoothless. Thanks for a fun and relaxing visit!!

Extra for beach and surf lovers

Umbrella and chairs supplied were greatly appreciated. We saw a surf competition for children 12 and under on a sunday where all the community was cheering and supporting them.

Makaha towers holidays

Hi everyone! Definitely recommend Randy&Taresa apartament to stay. It’s 13th floor with great view! Elevator works smooth and fast,stuff very friendly and helpful.Parking included in price. 4 min. by car to the sandy beach not overcrowded! For shopping recomend Waianae Market. Great place

Randy was really helpful when was needed, the location is great, the stores are 8 to 15 minutes driving from the condo, beaches are really close. All the staff were friendly. Laundry was really easy to do. We will come back to the same place no doubt.

Exorbitant Charge of 250dollars for Rip

It was my family's 3rd visit to Makaha Valley Towers when we rented Randy's condo this winter. The condo was also nice and clean, with everything we needed during our stay. There were some ants in the bathroom and we saw a roach in the kitchen once, but other than that, the house was almost free from bugs which was a big plus. However, happy story ends here. When we came back home, I received a message from Randy asking what we could do about the rip in the main drapes. We noticed it in the middle of our stay but didn’t think much about it since it was already there and we assumed Randy would know about it. He argued that we're responsible for it because we did not report it to him during our stay. We did not know that we had to inspect every piece of drapes and report it to the owner. After a long list of messages exchanged, he demanded $250. It became a truth game between him and myself. Based upon no evidence, Vrbo decided to charge $250 to my credit card for a damage we did not cause. I strongly advise travelers to either examine every single corner of the house and report even the slightest damages or just buy the damage protection insurance to avoid any trouble. We had an excellent vacation then, but unfortunately it became an unpleasant memory now.

Exactly what I was looking for

Description is accurate. Has everything you could possibly need and then some. Lots of beaches accessories. Kitchen well equipment. View is wonderful. Quiet. Property staff was very helpful. Peacocks roam property, so fun! Owner very easy and quick to communicate with. I would like to come again. The only down side is that it is not close to tourist activities, if that is what you’re looking for.

Million dollar view outside of the big city

We had a great stay. The beaches are beautiful around makaha. And Randy's place is clean with unbelievable views of the mountains and ocean. He has everything you could possibly need. Also, a great salt water pool to swim. The area down from the property has quite a lot of transient people and at times with kids it can feel unsafe. However the towers are isolated up in the hills and have some amazing security that monitor the property. Also, expect long drives to honolulu or anywhere else on the island in bumper to bumper traffic at times. Makaha valley is quite isolated on the west coast, so if you are looking for an area with little to no tourists: this is it! It is the real hawaii experience.

Delightful Stay

We have been staying in Makaha for the last two of many visits to the Island. This was a wonderful month and we found Randy to be very delightful to work with and was very attentive to any questions we had. He surprised us on our last day with a call to wish us well and hope we had a great visit. Will look forward to staying again! Thanks!!

Anniversary trip

We spent two weeks in this beautiful condo. Everything we would need was provided. If you are looking for local rural Hawaii you found it. Cant wait to come back next year for two weeks

Makaha Gem

Wonderful condo well-equipped with plenty of beach paraphernalia and my wife who enjoys the pool thoroughly enjoyed it at this complex including the pleasant company of other owners. We were so enthralled with the area of that we hardly did any extra driving around the island as we just hibernated it in the north west corner of Oahu The location is a bit out-of-the-way to drive to other areas so just be prepared for an hour drive or so to any other locations on the island that you wanna visit but other than that it was clearly a five-star stay for us. We will be back again!

off the beaten track

The property was very well maintained and the views were awesome. We decided not to rent a car and use public transportation.. We still got to do the things we wanted to do but realized it would eat up more time but time was what we had. the drivers were very helpful in letting us know when to transfer to accomplish our mission for the day. All in all it was an exciting time.

Very nice condo.

Very nice and well equipped condo. The owner thought of just about everything that you might need. It is exactly as advertised. The management staff was responsive and good to work with. The pool was nice but not quite as warm as we would like. The nearby town did not have much appeal but there are several nice beaches very close by.

MAKAHA VALLEY TOWER - It's possible to come again

It's a very nice property with a good view. All Beach Parks on the west coast of OAHA will be arreached in 2 till 20 minutes by car.

Nice appartment in a great environment

The appartment offers a fantastic view on the mountain and the ocean. It also offers great opportunities as at our disposal we had bodyboards, masks for snorkeling and even sand toys for our 1 year old son. The swimming pool is also great to relax. Randy always answered very quickly to all my queries. I would definitely recommend this appartment.

Away from it all.

If you want to see Oahu, this is a good place as you absolutely need a car. The beach is a mile away but it is gorgeous and totally unlike the busy beaches of Waikiki. We found a great beachside patio restaurant with good food and reasonably prices called The Beach House at 604. We also found some great Thai food at a place called Spicy House. The pool was also nice at the condo complex but there are an enormous amount of rules. So be forewarned.

Very nice condo. View of the mountains was beautiful. Condo was very clean and had everything we might need while we were there. Only down part was that if you want to do any laundry you have to go down to the office and put money on a card.

Beautiful condo tucked in a peaceful area, worth the stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Randy's condo due to its cleanliness, safety, amenities, and beautiful view! We had a bit of trouble with the checking in process but communicated with Randy, who was helpful and understanding. The kitchen had all of the equipment we normally use at home. Laundry was simple to do. Breakfast with a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean - couldn't ask for better! The condo is about a half an hour drive to Target/Cotsco (for stocking up on groceries) and other shopping centers (for dining). However, there are fast food restaurants and smaller grocery stores that are closer. The main tourist attractions/Honolulu/North Shore/etc. take a 1-1.5 hour drive from the condo, but traffic wasn't too big of problem for us since we would leave early mornings. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we would recommend this condo to our friends/family!

Excellent place to stay !!!

We were very fortunate to stay at Randy’s condo during our vacation in the Oahu’s Island. We felt very comfortable and safe while enjoying the picturesque surroundings and the amicable people of the place. Personally, I felt very satisfied with this election when I found my teen son sitting at the balcony, early in the morning and away from his phone, contemplating the sunrise over his ‘Little Makaha Jurassic Valley’… and this was just one side of the view. The ‘Returning Home’ blended pretty well with every adventure we took every day of our stay. Thanks !! Johnny

Joli condo avec vue imprenable.

Beau condo, propre et bien équipé. Vue magnifique des montagnes et de l’océan. Situé à 40 minutes de Honolulu, on peut facilement visiter Oahu. On peut facilement contacter le propritaire pour toute question. Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique, merci Randy !

For starters, working with Randy from beginning to end was seamless. He provided regular communication and also called us when we checked in to ensure everything was alright. The unit is located on a beautiful property however the building is quite dated. We arrived in the evening and I must admit that the experience was frightening as the road to the property is poorly lit and the surrounding neighbourhood isn’t the greatest. The experience in daylight is different and thus I suggest you arrive when there’s still daylight. Randy’s unit has all the amenities you require and we especially appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. The unit was really clean however is dated and would require updates. The kitchen and bathroom appear to be from the 90’s and the bed and pull out couch were not very comfortable. I must admit that I have higher expectations and this unit could be just fine for some. The important fact is that we did feel safe. The pool and bbq area were great. The views were great and there’s a beach less than 1 mile from the property. If you plan on staying local to simply chill for a few days, this property is great however if you plan on exploring, be prepared to drive 1 hour minimum each way to most of the major attractions ie pear harbour, dole plantation, lanakai... There are several average dining options in the area as well as several drug stores and grocery stores. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would not return to the area primarily due to the location. Thank you Randy!!

Convenient stay outside the bustle of Honolulu with incredible views

Great location! It was in the “country” but convenient to everything. Not more than 70 min to anyplace on the island. Great views. Close to beaches. Condo had everything you could want and Randy was very helpful without being intrusive. Safe environment. Great internet!
