Not Welcome, Sleepy Travelers
If a hotel/motel charges a deposit, which most do, then Hotels.com discloses the deposit amount when booking. This is transparent and good business practice. However, when booking this room, no deposit was specified - in fact nothing about a deposit was specified. As I had my wallet stolen earlier that day, I booked the room at the Sleepy Traveler using my hotels.com rewards and specifically chose this motel because a deposit wasn’t specified so I assumed there wasn’t one, because my wallet was gone and I would have no way to pay for a deposit anyway. I drive 40 miles out if my way to get there only to be turned down by the very rude woman who informed me I had to pay a 75.00 deposit. I explained my wallet was stolen and I had no money and a deposit wasn’t specified when booking. She didn’t care. She told me I couldn’t stay and to leave the property. I slept in my car that night. Sleepy Traveler needs to wake up and inform their booking partners about their mandatory deposit. She was a rude, insolent woman and I’ve never received this type of treatment before. The next night I was greeted kindly by the Super 8 staff who did not charge me a deposit if any kind. I slept for 15 hours, grateful there were empathetic motel managers who believe in transparency and customer service.

Hello Eleanor,I think you did not review the booking fee policy. If you scroll down to Expedia booking web site for Sleepy traveler Motel under fee section you will see deposite amonut.It is clearly mention there 100 deposit required.We have to follow the hotel policy.She ask you to leave from Motel canopy because you were on canopy for longer time. we have to clear canopy area for other customer.Thank youManagement

Do not stay here untill remodel is complete
Not a good time to stay right now as rooms are being remodeled. Did not have a good place to park for my corner room as contractors had a big truck and a dumpster in the area.

didnt even get to stay. got there and they said they didnt have any rooms available. then they charged my credit card for a no show reservation.

The reservation was made under the name of female and the person who was came to the front desk was male and didn’t mention about any reservation. It is technically not possible to check every walk-in about reservation. But to resolved the issue, we had immediately issued the credit.

It is an old motel, the furnishing were outdated,the tub floor was spongy, no coffee maker ,no iron. Basically a bed ,tv,bathroom. A place to get a few hours sleep
