"The people writing glowing reviews have to be fake...it's old, nothing special. Showerhead looks like it's 50 years old, moldy grout, wallpaper peeling off the wall, the tv couldn't open up ESPN. The carpet was nice, nothing smelled bad. The pool looks like it was painted 40 years ago. It's just a very basic, old hotel. For a night's stay at $90, it was ok, just know it's an old hotel and that's what you're getting."

"This is the only hotel close to the Porcupine Mountain Park. They do a nice job of cleaning, the breakfast is good and it’s right on Lake Superior! Beautiful sunsets and nice people."

"Everything clean, staff/owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful and they had a great common area outside with tables, grills, firepit etc.
We will stay here again and we have told others about this place."

"The overall accommodation was not great, but was kind of what I had expected. The main issue was with the check-in process. The motel claims that they had sent an email detailing the exact address of the office as well as the room number and the lock code to enter the room. Unfortunately, I did not receive that email from Expedia until the following morning. As a result, I spent almost an hour trying to find the office which was slightly offsite and had a lot of difficulty getting my room lock...
