"The Hotel Mahendra Prakash is awesome place to stay in Udaipur at affordable cost. The rooms are spacious and gives you haveli like atmosphere. It is located at a prime area, major tourist spots are at walkable distance. Frintdesk, Housekeeping and restaurant staff is efficient and polite. Swimming pool is clean. Good is nice. Amazing breakfast. The owners and family are welcoming.They have maintained high standards of the property. Must stay at this hotel when in Udaipur. Highly recommended."

"A great find and conviently located. The gentleman on reception was great throughout my stay, very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was a good size with lots of old period furnishings. Large comfy bed and a fan heater provided. AC worked well too though being the cooler months use of fan heater was needed. Large bathroom with good hot water shower. Located within walking distance to the Palace entrance gate and plenty of resturants nearby. Would definately recomend and stay here...

"It’s a beautiful property in a wonderful setting. So tranquil and beautiful. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The boat trip around the lake was a real pleasure. Our room was large and spacious, with excellent views of the lake from two aspects. We would happily stay at this property again. Thoroughly recommended. "

"The best location second only to the Taj Lake Palace. Best views of the lake. Beautiful heritage rooms. Restaurant has a lovely location. Short walk to other restaurants and bars.
Reception and concierge service are very limited. Shame there isn’t a decent bar with a view for sundowners. Lots of places nearby though. I’d stay here again for an authentic haveli"

"This hotel is the actual king’s palace. It is beautiful and well maintained. You do feel like royalty staying here. And it is the perfect location in city center, close to City Palace, shopping, and access to the lake. Would highly recommend!"

"Stay was just about okay. Even though I booked an extra night to avoid checkin issue in the early morning and even after confirming with the hotel manager regarding the same. The room was not ready. No one was at the hotel reception to receive us and the security guard gave us the room just to only asked by the property manager to change it later. It was a horrible experience overall. Not worth the amount we paid. Could find some great place with this price"

"Nous avons fait changer les draps des notre arrivée car ils étaient très sales. Chambre pour 4 un peu petites mais confortable et calme.
Nous avons fait faire une lessive très très cher. le prix est à l'article donc quand on a beaucoup de sous-vêtements... une paire de chaussettes vaut pour 2 articles !
Le personnel du restaurant ne parle pas anglais mais une personne de l'hôtel est venu faire la traduction.
