"We enjoyed Silver Legacy very much. Very nice rooms, good view of Reno and the Mts. in the distance, good coffee in the rooms, etc. Also, compared to, e.g., Bally's in Tahoe, it had plenty of working elevators; thus, there was hardly ever a long wait.
The entire complex had a good variety of dining choices (although, the fancier ones had bizarrely high prices with, i.e., a steak for $75). This was also true of the big Casino hotels in Tahoe.

"Nice location - close driving distance to Donner Lake and Downtown Truckee. It's quiet and easy to park at. One disappointment was that the pool was out of service during our stay. The complimentary breakfasts were a really nice ammenity - they would alternate proteins between Bacon, and Sausage. Other offers were oatmeal, yogurt, fresh bananas, fresh pancakes, eggs, bagels, bread, english muffins, (w/the ability to toast them), muffins, and cereal. There is also an automated espresso machine...

"The casino/hotel itself is quite nice, with pleasant lighting/decorations/furniture, etc. The first floor layout and elevator placement made navigating to our room easy. The room itself was clean and attractive just like the lobby/casino. It was a fine place to stay from that standpoint. As an added bonus for people who want to be off the main drag, Atlantis is located to the south while still in easy reach of the downtown area.
