Beliggenhed og gæstfrihed i top
Fin beliggenhed 10 minutters gang fra Sct. Markus. Værten, Giorgio, taler glimrende engelsk og tager rigtig godt mod en og anbefaler uopfordret gode steder i Venedig - og er konstant til at træffe og meget beredvillig til hjælpe på alle måder han kan. Selve rummet er simpelt men rent og fint nok til vores standard.

Stanza davvero pulita e ben organizzata, con angolo cottura a scomparsa, 2 finestre in camera ed 1 in bagno, frigo( dotato di prosciutto, formaggio, uova, marmellata, nutella e succhi per la colazione), microonde, posate, pentole, sapone per piatti e spugna, pulizia quotidiana con ripristino delle dotazioni, ospite semplicemente perfetto, educato, puntuale e pieno di ottimi consigli per un piacevole soggiorno a Venezia!

Superklasse!
Wir sind von der Unterkunft absolut begeistert. Die Lage ist exzellent und man erreicht in wenigen Gehminuten den Markusplatz und ist sofort an der Alademia-Brücke. Abends sitzt man fast vor der Haustür in einem Lokal auf dem Santo Stefano Platz, wo es mehrere Cafés und Restaurants gibt, die gute Bewirtung zu vernünftigen Preisen gibt. Der Hausherr ist sehr nett und gibt als Venezianer gute Tips und Hinweise. Das Frühstück ist optimal, denn der Kühlschrank wird immer wieder nachgefüllt, so dass man sich auch einen Imbiss für unterwegs machen kann, ohne dass es peinlich wird. Von uns also eine rundum positive Bewertung!!

Hidden gem with kinks to work out.
Amazing building- venitian architecture. Was told it was 16th century. Inside updated with all conveniences for a comfy stay. However... No direction regarding entrance to building and where the light switches were! We entered to a large dark vestibul. And they put us on the 4th floor! What the? When we asked about the lights told " its not a problem". Really? Walking up 4 flights of stairs in the dark is a problem. I carry a flashlight but it was not adequate. On our 2nd night we were told where the light switches were at the entrance. A little late to the party but helped the next day. All in all - great place, outfitted well, besides the stiff towels, and close to restaurants.

About entrance, as for all guests in the confirmation mail we sent you a step by step map to reach our place from Venice train station, Venice airport, car park or bus park. You told us you have used it and has been really helpful in reching our place... If the comments (and the difference between 6 to 10 in the final mark) refers to the condominium stair lights, it is such a pity that you put this attention to this small element, and not e.g. to the fresh fruits, venetian map and Prosecco wine bottle welcome package provided to you for free. As explained to you imedately when you ring our bell in order to understand how light swithces were working (the same night of your cehck-in) the light switches are located in every floor, from the ground to the top floor, with a small light in all switches (blue light) it in order to recognize it in simply way. All of the lighted switches are working and clearly recognizable. In 15 years of activity it is the first time that a guest don’t recognize them from the entrance to the third floor (the building has only 3 floors and not 4 as written from you). Anyway, It has been a pleasure to host you. All the best B&B Santo Stefano

Dear Guests, We are really surprised about the review. The day of your arrival we have waited you for about 5 hours of delay (check-in time provided from you 2 pm, arrived to at 7 pm) in relation to the check-in. As specifically written in the reservation, check-in is only by appoinment, and for every hour of delay from the provided arrival time at our B&B will charged 20 Euro, if not communicate by phone or by message during the arirval day. We didn't charge it, and only thank to the fact we sent you several messages (and not received any call or message) we knew you have suddenly decided to visit another city (Sirmione) before arriving from Milan in Venice by car and thank to it the big delay. In addition, we have also come to pick you up far from our B&B, though we have provided you a step by step map and sent you on your mobile phone all information to reach our place (you dind't download and had a look on them). We have also respond to all your additinal request during your stay. We cannot understand your comment and review, if not as you have reviewd another strucutre during your trip by car in Italy instead of the B&B Santo Stefano of Venice.

Good location and very friendly and welcoming host. The apartment is well equipped, the airconditioning was bliss :), and we really enjoyed the self-catered breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Great place!
We had a great stay. Giorgio was amazing at giving us tips and local places to visit. The breakfast was very filling and satisfying. It is quiet location that is very centrally located. The bed was a little firm for us, but that would be the only thing we could say.

Great location and a great host
Very friendly and informative host. He gave us lots of tips of where to go and what to do (which is helpful if you want a pleasant stay in tourist-packed and can-be-expensive place like Venice). The location is great and close to all major famous landmarks. Would definitely recommend or return.

El lugar está muy limpio. El desayuno es auto servicio pero muy abundante y te reponen cada día los alimentos. El dueño muy amable y preocupado porque lo pases muy bien. La ubicación impecable te permitía facil acceso a todo. Costo adecuado para la calidad del servicio. Lo único que es necesario.considerar es que hay que subir por escalera. Pasamos precioso y regresaríamos.

Clean, quiet and friendly B&B
Although it is close to the center of Venice (less than 10 min walking from Piazza San Marco), the room (I had one in the upper floor) was very quiet. It was large, clean and included a kitchenette. It also had an air con (which I did not use). The host is very friendly and helpful. He had sent very useful information prior to my arrival including a well-made "how to reach the B&B" that gave an image by image route description, which made it easy to find the place. I enjoyed the stay and will certainly return to this place.

Fantastic host, breakfast, and stay!
The host is fantastic! I've never felt so comfortable and taken care of. I'd definitely recommend staying here! The only thing is that you have to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to the room and there is no elevator, which would only be an issue if you are traveling with older people.

Wonderful Air B&B style place!
Owner Giorgio is fantastic! Very nice room with kitchenette. Cleaning lady brought full breakfast makings everyday. There is a 60 step walk up because it’s Venice, but it’s clean, comfy, you can cook there and it’s super close to Saint Marks.

We had a perfect stay at this B&B! The owner is so kindhearted and helpful. The (prepare-yourself) breakfast was great, and the location was absolutely perfect. it was quiet, charming and within a few minutes of all the touristy spots. We hope to return someday!

Close to st marco
Very enjoyable experience traveling to Venice. Hotel had the right stuff even though it was a bit difficult to find but completely worth it. Owner was too friend and accommodating and made our trip a lot easier. Everything was writhing walking distance. Highly recommend it!

Muy buena ubicación, cómodo el dpto, lo único incomodo y que hay q saber antes de reservar, es q esta en un 3er. Piso por escalera y viaje con mi hijo pequeño y mi madre mayor a quienes se les complicaba un poco. El resto excelente, muy buen desayuno, soy celíaca y siempre tuve lo necesario para un buen desayuno.

Our experience was great, the room was clean and comfortable. Giorgio, the owner was very welcoming and gave us information on where to eat, places to see and an area map. He also provided food items to make breakfast, which were fresh and delicious. We will definitely visit Santo Stefano again when we are in Venice.

San Marco retreat
We loved our stay here. We should have planned a longer stay. We were greated kindly' supplied with plenty of food to prepare breakfast. Host also provided a map and written recommendations plus good advice. We were very comfortable during our stay. Host is top notch.

We walked to most places we wanted to visit but is also very close to water bus stops if you don't want to walk. Excellent information from owner on restaurants etc. 5 min walk to Rialto area, fantastic B&B.

The perfect place to stay in Venice. Excellent location in San Marco. Very quiet street but close to restaurants, sites, Grand Canal, so easy to get everywhere. Proprieter offered excellent restaurant suggestions and was extremely helpful. Room was spacious and well-lit. It is one the third floor (American) so if climbing stairs is an issue that might be a problem. But for us it was great value for a great place from which to visit Venice,

Giorgio met us at the property and was able to hold our luggage until our room was ready. He provided us with lots of helpful recommendations about places to see and good places to eat while in Venice. The apartment was very well located and it was easy to find. The room itself was comfortable and cleaned/re-stocked daily. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Mr. Giorgio has created a home for us right in the middle of popular San Marco district. he is most caring with eye for detail to take care of all your needs. room has a fully equipped kitchenette which was a boon for us vegetarians. the fridge is well stocked everyday for a breakfast that will make an American feel at ease!! location is outstanding - everything is a Stone's throw. Giorgio also helps with great recommendations about shopping, eating and drinking places. overall, fantastic and I feel like coming again!

Clean, light, self-catering studio, great location
It's a clean, bright, spacious studio (ie. one big room with an en-suite) with everything you need to make light meals, store your stuff and generally relax into your own routine, rather than that of a hotel/B&B. Location is brilliant - above a busy but quiet street (Calle de le Botteghe) that has a great cicchetti bar, cafes, a gelateria, grocery shop and a wine shop, and is only a few minutes walk to pretty much everything you'd want to see and do in Venice. Also very close to two vaporetto stops and to Campo San Stefano so easy to find. The owner, Giorgio, lives next door and is superbly helpful providing great food/drink/place recommendations and whatever local info you need. Some supplies are provided in the fridge and the studio is cleaned every day, plus there's wifi. The bed is two singles pushed together rather than an actual double, but that's no big deal because it's both comfy and spotlessly clean. You might want to bring earplugs though because building work next door starts early! Would 100% recommend this as a clean, affordable, very easy and civilised way to stay in a beautiful city, away from the insane crowds of San Marco/Rialto but still right by plenty of places to eat, drink, get around and more.

Great location in Venice.
Giorgio has done a great job modernizing and putting all necessities into this room. The kitchenette is cute, the bed is comfortable, and the room was cleaned and food restocked daily. We loved the location, as everything in Venice was walkable from there. We also like old buildings, but you have to not mind climbing stairs.

I think Stefano B&B had some good, some bad. Overall, it was okay. The good? Great location, clean, helpful staff, stocked fridge. The bad? First, I was very clear with Giorgio that we were arriving early and that we needed to check-in early. He said he would be at the B&B to meet us around 9A (I kept all correspondence with him). When we arrived, he was not available but a lady, Elena, was available and told us our room would NOT be ready until normal check-in (2P). If I knew this, I would NOT have stayed at this B&B. We left the B&B and walked around for hours, returned at 2P and were told the room would NOT be ready until 3P. I told the housekeeper we would wait. She let us into our room at 2:35P. I thought this was VERY poor taste. Second, it is not a B&B, it is an apartment stocked with food but it is not a B&B. There is no sign on the outside to let you know it is anything but an apartment. Third, there were mosquitos in the room that kept me up most of the night. My husband was bitten us (mosquitos have no interest in my blood so they were buzzing in my ear all night). Finally, it is a LOT of stairs to get to the apartment. Carrying luggage, with no elevator, back and forth, it is a haul. I do think, for the price and local, it's okay ... but if you need to have an early arrival, like I did, I would pass. If you have health issues, I would pass, too.

L'appartement de Giorgio est très bien situé, au calme et la formule proposée pour le petit-déjeuner est très pratique : le frigo et le placard sont remplis de ce dont vous avez besoin (fruits, yaourts, jus d'orange, pain de mie, croissants, thé en sachets, café en poudre, ...) et chaque jour, quelqu'un vient pour y remettre ce qui manque.
