"Look no further, it is THE place you want. Whole building was recently renovated, rooms are in perfect order. Duyen and her family will take care of you as if you were related but in all seriousness, they really care which makes the place special as opposed to other places. There is a restaurant called Thao Beo Restaurant Bar within the premises operated by them, great food and good price, I also highly recommend it. I truly cannot recommend this place enough."

"Nan House is a very nice place and the host is helpful and welcoming. The rooms and the beds are comfortable. The place is a little walk from the busy center and away from noisy traffic. However, there is a lot of noise during the night because of the neighbour's dog barking all night and roosters just outside the window. This might only be an issue if you are a light sleeper and sensitive to noise. "

"Athena Resort is a fantastic unique hotel in Ninh Binh, the little house style accommodation feels like a home away from home and the pool facilities are expansive. The staff were fantastic including helping us to confirm details on sleeper buses we were taking to the next leg of our trip. The resort is standalone so is extremely quiet and tranquil with the small village of Tam Coc not too far away (20 min walk down a single road over the rice paddies), or a quick taxi / bike ride.
