Haus Marianne is a beautifully designed bungalow measuring 1969 (130 square meters), accessible only via a small private road (dead end). This ensures absolute peace and quiet, free from traffic noise, and you’re very unlikely to encounter anyone walking past the house.

If you love nature or enjoy spending plenty of time outdoors, if you want to go on outings with your children, take bike rides, go to the pool, or play soccer, then you’ll love staying with us in Veerßen at “Haus Marianne.”

Thanks to its unique location in Veerßen (a suburb of the county seat Uelzen), the house is simply perfect for rest and relaxation and is particularly well-suited for families with children.

The outdoor area is very idyllic, featuring a garden, a large terrace, and—most importantly—a partially covered area. Here, you can sit outside even in wind and rain and listen to the sound of the rain. The large lawn in front of the terrace is perfect for playing and relaxing. From sunrise to sunset, you can enjoy the day out here.

The garden itself is partly “left to nature”—that is, the lawns are mowed naturally and some green spaces are maintained, but “weeds” are deliberately not pulled all the time; instead, nature is allowed to flourish on its own. For example, there’s wild oregano here, one of the favorite plants of bees and bumblebees. “Pure nature,” as they say.

For those in the mood for “athletic” activities, there are plenty of options available, such as soccer goals, a net for “family tennis” or soccer over the net, boccia, boules (Veerßen even has its own boules court!), badminton, croquet, darts, and basketball (there’s a court at the school, a 5-minute walk away), and of course, a ping-pong table is a must.

Bicycles (1 men’s bike 28, 2 women’s bikes 28, 1 road bike 28, 1 mountain bike 26.1, 1 Kokua children’s bike 20) are also available and can be used at no extra charge. Please let us know in advance which bikes you’ll need.

Uelzen itself has its own water park (outdoor pool in summer and indoor pool in winter), a movie theater, and a large theater with many cultural highlights. The famous “Hundertwasser Train Station” is about a 15-minute bike ride away; the ICE train to Hamburg, for example, takes 40 minutes and runs almost every hour. There’s also a really great fitness trail with 27 stations on nearby Königsberg (10 minutes by bike). In Veerßen, there’s also an access point to the Ilmenau River, where you can canoe or kayak toward Lüneburg (please observe the specific rules regarding the nature reserve).

The house is designed to accommodate up to 4 people.

The property features a very large, spacious living room (40 square meters) as well as a generous kitchen where you can comfortably eat together. The sleeping area includes a master bedroom with a double bed, a children’s room (also with a double bed), and a sleeper sofa in the reading room for 1–2 people. There is also a home office, a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, and a guest restroom.
