Communication was a little difficult with the owners due to my limited Spanish and their limited English - but we managed! We had a lovely room and a very comfortable bed. It was 4km to drive to the nearest town for dinner. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice of local and homemade food. We stayed here on our way back to Bilbao airport after holidaying further west. It is very rural, south of Santillana...

"Can't say enough good things about the property but specifically the owners. They were kind, attentive and friendly. Made us feel special. This was the perfect place for us to stay as it was exactly halfway between Santander and the house we're renovating in the area. Highly recommended and will use this hotel as overflow property when multiple family and friends come to visit but don't all fit in our house.😂"

"Easy to find the hotel and you can stop across the road to unload bags. Very friendly staff and the room was large, clean and very quiet.
There were seating areas on each floor and the hotel was spotless with a nice bar area and outdoor seating.
At the front of the hotel there were tables and chairs and a gazebo where we stayed to enjoy churros and chocolate from the bar.
A lovely hotel in a lovely place and we will definitely be going back, both to the hotel and the town."

They also have along outdoor pool if you want to swim. The second reason is the location. You are between Fuente De and Poncebos....
