The desk clerk at check-in was great! The lobby AC didn't seem to be working, and the lobby was very warm and stuffy. Not so much an issue at check-in but it made breakfast the next morning even less enjoyable. The room was OK. The bed was comfortable, unless you sat on the end of it - then it felt like it lifted up a bit. The bathroom needs improvement. The shower door was very difficult to open. Probably from poor installment. The tile in the bathroom has grout about an 1-inch from the edge. Which, to me, says it was poorly installed and there's little care or oversight from management. The soap holder in the shower is another glaring example of not caring. You can see multiple layers of caulking around the soap holder. They aren't smoothed or even matching. It looks like a toddler did it. It's in a spot that I'm sure breaks repeatedly due to poor placement. At breakfast, the lobby and seating area were warmer than the food. I don't expect 5-star cuisine from a Hampton breakfast, but I do prefer not having to ask myself "Does that look safe?" Having stayed at several Hampton Inns, this one needs a lot of care and attention.
