Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the property was adequate. The property is in a nice location. Just minutes from Saguaro National Park, the downtown Historic district, close to the interstate for accessing day trips to Tubac, Tombstone, the Titan Missile site, San Xavier mission. The JW Marriott is close by and a very nice place to spend time. Do not miss the free tequila toast daily at 5:30 pm on the terrace at Saluda. The hotel is not walkable as mentioned in the property description. It is over a mile away, up hill on a road I would not recommend walking on. If you are a golfer, the Starr Pass Golf Course, just a couple of minutes away, is very nice. In general, I will give the unit a good rating. The overall cleanliness of the unit was below what we have experienced on other VRBO’s. Specifically. The patio looked like it had not been thoroughly cleaned in months. The master bath was not thoroughly cleaned and restocked. The baseboard was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and the floors were inconsistently cleaned. As for the unit itself, the decor had a nice southwest feel. The unit could use a refresh. The color of the paint gives the unit somewhat of a dark and dirty feel. The lack of lighting in the living room did prohibit simple reading at night. I was surprised at the requirements for check out (striping beds, taking out garbage, ect) when a 100 cleaning fee is charged. This is not something we’ve experienced in other VRBO‘s.
