"This is a nice house in a beautiful neighborhood in Tahoe Donner. House is fairly large and comfortable. Kitchen is great and the hot tub on the deck is a plus. There is a washer/dryer which is great. The only real downsize is the amount of pollen everywhere outside - covering the back deck, the front steps and all over the driveway. "We enjoyed our stay here and loved the proximity to Northstar. The space fit well for our group — 4 adults and 2 kids. The house is listed as fitting 8 people, but it seems like that would be tight. The only small negative is that it was not well stocked with essentials like salt & pepper or extra toilet paper. The local staff did bring more toilet paper, but only on the second to last day of our trip. Otherwise, no complaints. A nice, cozy home perfect for a ski vacation."

"This house worked well for our family visit. The snow was fantastic and there is a relatively flat area behind the house that is great for snow play. Typical of the houses in Tahoe-Donner in the winter, one wants to be very careful pulling out of the driveway due to cars driving reasonably fast and no visibility due to the snow banks. "The river was beautiful, but our enjoyment of the setting was overshadowed by a major, ongoing plumbing issue. As long as we were using a single bathroom everything worked fine, but as soon as the rest of our family arrived and more than one bathroom came into use there were problems which ultimately resulted in water backing through a toilet and bathtub and flooding of a bathroom. The problem was reported as soon as it was discovered, but because it was a weekend, no maintenance was available....

"Cannot oversell how great the location was... some places "in Truckee" are not really walkable, or easily walkable. This was great to just pop over to a meal or shop. The place was clean and quite a comfortable bed... at least the one we slept in!"
