Manuka Cottage offers a relaxing escape with our gorgeous 7 seat Blue Whale Spa Hot Tub with crystal clear water – lovely all year round, either under the stars or after a hard day crabbing with the kids. The spa is maintained at 38 degrees year round and set in a fully enclosed private garden, so you can relax whilst the family/ pets are safe. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained and is comfortably luxurious and exceptionally clean.
Located in beautiful Stoke Gabriel village, we have the best of both worlds - being set in a peaceful location whilst being on the outskirts of Torbay, the beaches and Attractions.
Stoke Gabriel is great for food, families and dogs! The village is situated on the River Dart and has 2 village pubs, Emma's Restaurant, and gourmet cafe, The River Shack, all within walking distance. We also have Sharpham Vineyard at Sandridge Barton, just a walk away where you can spend the afternoon sampling or take a tour around the vineyard.
The village has a back-in-time, community feel, there are some beautiful walks and places to explore around the village or across the Millpool.
We are a 10 minute drive from Torbay’s Goodrington and Broadsands beaches and the many attractions of Torbay - Splashdown Water Park, Paignton Zoo, the South Devon Coast Path, Agatha Christie's National Trust home at Greenway, the coastal Steam Railway, Cockington village and the Babbacombe Model Village to name a few!
Other beautiful towns of Totnes, Brixham and Dartmouth are a short drive also and well worth a visit, very different towns each in their own right.
Our comfortable living room boasts a 55" Sky Glass TV complete with Netflix and sumptuous Lounge Co sofa. The dining room, off the kitchen, has a six seater table, is fully heated and has board games for the family for an evening of good times after dinner.
We have a well-equipped kitchen, with everything you’d expect complete with a dishwasher, Tassimo coffee-machine with pods, perfect for those Sunday mornings..there’s an armchair in the corner, so just put your feet up with your mug and grab that book you’ve been meaning to read.

Idyllic Stoke Gabriel has two proper old villagey pubs, the Church House Inn and The Castle which does a gorgeous Sunday Roast. We have a village shop for your Sunday paper or hot sausage roll or take a stroll down to the beautiful River Dart where you can hire out canoes or the kids can go crabbing and visit to the River Shack café perched on the riverside. The River Shack serves gourmet burgers, home made cakes and children's food. Visit the churchyard with one of the oldest Yew Trees in Britain, said to date back 1000 years. There are two lovely parks for the children, Sandridge Barton, the home of Sharpham Vinyard, is just a walk away. Here you can take a walk around the vineyard or sit and sample the wines in a beautiful barn courtyard setting.
For adventure seekers and lovers of the outdoors, Torbay is a ten-minute drive away, offering many (17!) beaches and coves where the natural beauty can be explored with open countryside walks across Elberry Cove and the South Devon Coast Path and with the many water sports for hire and excursions with paddleboarding, kayaking, coasteering, sea fishing, jet skiing.
We have so many attractions in Torbay which include the Steam Railway along the beach fronts to Kingswear, Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village, the Vue Cinema, Paignton Pier, Splashdown Water Park (the largest water park in the UK), Brixham Fish Market and Restaurants, Torquay and Brixham Marina’s and Agatha Christie’s former home at Greenway. There is also a buzzing nightlife in Torquay with funky bars and places to eat on the Quayside and beachside.
Dartmouth is just over the river, a pretty boutique town on the banks of the River Dart with Woodlands Theme Park nearby and Exeter with Crealy Theme Park for the thrill seekers. Dartmoor, wonderful for wild open walks and meals by a roaring pub firesides is 30 minutes away and Totnes, a historic hippy castle town is 10 minutes drive on the way to Plymouth, a 40-minute drive away.
