B&B i Tidewater Region

"Beautiful exterior but interior needs work. No brochures about local attractions, things to do, places to eat or the other things you come to expect from first rate B & Bs. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Scrambled eggs both days with poor quality fruit and dry muffins. We learned o the second day that the owners were in the process of completing a sale after owning the property for ten years. That explains a lot. No bottled ot filtered water, no ice on premises accessible to guests, cheap...

"If you plan to visit Oriental, you must stay at Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast! The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. They greeted me as I arrived and took me on a tour of the house explaining the available amenities. The house has a wrap around porch, perfect for relaxing in the evening (I stayed in August and was surprised by the mild evening temperature). I had to leave early morning and typically do not eat breakfast so they had breakfast bars and fruit available for me to grab...

"The hotel prides itself on the wonderful breakfast it prepares and serves, it’s fit for a king. The hotels location is in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Unbeknownst to us our room was on the third floor accessible up a narrow staircase, a bit of a challenge for a 83 yr. old couple."

"We arrived and we're the only guests. Even Brodie wasn't there. They partner with a sub shop up the road and I felt we were really encouraged to go there for breakfast instead of the inn. "No trash can in the room, only one trash can in the bathroom with no trash bag. It makes the cleaning at the end difficult. One teeny tiny roll of toilet paper 😂, no tissue box. The continental breakfast basically is just bagel. How cheap it can be😂"
