"I booked the room last minute and really late, they were extremely accommodating and courtesy with service. The surrounding area is a little sketchy but the inn itself is lit really well. The room had all the necessities I needed for a night stay, comfortable bed, fluffy and supportive pillows, AC unit that can be adjusted to liking, a small dining table, a microwave, a mid size refrigerator, and a clean bathroom. "

"Janice is a wonderful host! The house was great! Breakfast's were very tasty (she even fried special eggs for my husband). Make sure if you go there to eat at Sammy's across the street (it was so good, we ate there 3 times. Also Mike the tiger was a highlight (he seems to be active and playful in the mornings). I would definitely stay there again and recommend it!"

"Absolutely amazing first time at this hotel will be back. In the heart of downtown. Great staff, clean hotel, the room was great. The Gregory restaurant brunch was awesome. If you’re in BR this is the place to stay 10/10"

"Upon arrival check in was great. Booked a room on the third floor which was clean but had roaches. Front desk immediately came up to room with keys for another room. Ask me if they could see the bug and said that room would be exterminated. Moved to a higher floor and had no issues. Be prepared to pay for parking. "

"Stayed at the Doubletree for a recent visit to Baton Rouge. It was a great hotel for the trip with comfortable beds, spacious rooms and pleasant staff. Close by to downtown and many restaurant choices within 15 minutes around the hotel.
Only downside was getting out of the hotel to the highway. The main road to the hotel frequently backed up for people trying to enter the highway, but that was the only issue."

"I honestly don’t understand how this place has received any positive reviews – there is absolutely no way they reflect reality. There is definitely something shady going on with the ratings. I deeply regret not trusting my instincts.
From the moment I walked in, the smell of stale smoke hit me in the face – in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room. It only got worse from there.
The fridge was still full of old, moldy food, and it reeked. The floor was covered in dirt and grime, clearly never cleaned, and every single piece of furniture was either broken or badly damaged. The locks didn’t work properly, which made me feel completely unsafe, and the bed was filthy, with stains and an unwashed appearance that made it impossible to sleep.
Tampered with the fire alarm..
This wasn’t just a bad experience – it was borderline health hazard. Absolutely unacceptable.
Avoid this place at all costs."
