Prior to arrival, I requested a 2:00pm check-in and recorded this on the online check-in system. Upon arrival to collect the lockbox keys, we were unable to access the code and were only able to proceed because a cleaner happened to be present and assisted us in trying to contact someone who could send the access details. The automated AI system and multiple requests for a return phone call were ineffective and extremely frustrating.Unfortunately, the issues continued once we entered the apartment. The property was in an unacceptable condition, including mould on the cutlery and dusty floors. The air conditioning unit was not functioning properly — it was extremely noisy and shut off every hour — which made the apartment very uncomfortable. The bedroom fans were also not working, leaving us with no suitable cooling options and forcing my partner and I to sleep in the living room due to the heat. I am happy to provide photos if required.In addition, the main bathroom toilet would not flush. I attempted to contact the emergency plumbing service listed, however my calls were not returned. We also encountered cockroaches during our overnight stay.Overall, this was the worst accommodation experience we have had and fell far below acceptable standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service.I will not recommend East Coast getaways to any family!!!
