"We were in the area for a ski trip which was a last minute addition, so accomodations were scarse. The Motel had rooms at a reasonable price. We had fairly low expectations. Everything was fine. A few things could be improved: 1. Need better curtains for the window that faces out front due to a very bright porch lamp. 2. Need a curtain for the bathroom window. Staff was incredibly friendly and the owner could not have been more accommodating. Nothing went unattended or ignored. Best visit I’ve ever had to the area. Highly recommend!"

"Loved the cabin! My only complaint was that the upstairs bed got hot during the night making my daughter uncomfortable. We put the fan up there the second night but it didn’t seem to help. She slept on the loveseat. Everything else we loved! "

"Quiet and quaint for a true WV country feel. Close to WVU without the hustle and bustle of being downtown. Check in and check out were hassle free and easy. Great communication from the owners. Little cafe across the street is lovely. Had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again!"

"Had a wonderful stay here! The living room space was incredibly cozy. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, and we slept very well. Dan is a warm and friendly host, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. The kitchen facilities were excellent and fully equipped. We were able to cook two dinners there comfortably, and the self-serve breakfast was a nice touch. The location next to the river and railroad tracks. The surroundings are serene and relaxing. Would absolutely love to come back....

When I requested to be switched, she got our room switched right away! Also, we were staying at Suburban Studios for my daughter's graduation, and checkout time is noon; I was concerned we wouldn't be able to swing that, so I requested a late checkout.
