The Trombetta family has lived on this property since the mid-1800s, when it housed a wool-processing workshop, a farm, and an orchard; in the early 1900s, the family ran a trattoria, and local wine was bottled in the adjacent cellar; after World War I, the father of the host, Antonella, opened a silversmith’s workshop in nearby Como, and since then the property has been used solely as a residence.
