The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel has an excellent Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner before walking around the lovely town of Wells. Americans should know it is not air conditioned, but air conditioning is rare in the UK and Europe. There is a fan and lovely large windows. We will definitely return."

"when I arrived I had had a bad experience at a earlier hotel I stayed at. Top floor room,steep stairway from ground floor and toilet on an other level. So when I arrived early at the waverley the staff very kindly switched me to a ground floor room when I told them of my previous hotel difficulties. The waverley did not do evening meals but invited me to use a take away and bring it back to hotel where a plate and cutlery would be provided for me to use which was very kind."

"Hotellet ligger fint nok i forhold til Liverpool - både hvis man er i bil, eller hvis man bruger offentlig transport. Hotellet og hotelværelset var noget slidt, men værelset havde hvad man har brug for, og sengen var virkelig god.
Det, der dog først og fremmest bør fremhæves, er personalet på The Royal Oak. Det gjaldt alle lige fra receptionen over restaurationspersonalet, til rengøringen, der excellerede ved deres hjælpsomhed, kompetence og venlighed. Det var en glæde at møde Hayley om morgenen og blive kaldt:"Luv" og at tale med Andy om hestevæddeløb.
