"This place and town were absolutely precious! Came up to go antique shopping and went to so many cute places! There was SO MUCH good food! Everywhere we ate was beyond delicious. The whole stay was everything we wished for! Thanks for being incredible hosts. The house has everything you need!!!!"

"The 4 parking spaces up top that belonged to the house were filled with cars from people renting the house next door. Had to park down the drive by the side door. Walking into the house there was an OVERWHELMING smell of gas & sulfer. Opened windows to air it out but the smell never went away. The set up of the house was really cute with a nice living space downstairs. It was hot upstairs in the bedrooms even with the air set to 66 so we slept downstairs on the couch. Hot tub was cloudy w/ bugs...

"Enjoyed our stay at this spacious home close to Shipshewana! Enjoyed the porch and watching the Amish drive back and forth. It was very entertaining and took the place of a TV (there isn't one). There were plenty of bathtubs but we did not use them. We used the one shower. Home is brighter than the listing pictures."

"We loved our stay at this property. It was a great country setting and very comfortable. The furniture was like new and very comfortable. Many extras like coffee and tea. They provided soaps, shampoo, and plenty of bath towels and wash cloths. The owner checked on us to make sure we were happy with everything and wanted to know if we needed anything. This house is very convenient to all of the attractions and shopping in Shipshewana. You can't go wrong staying here. I would highly recommend this...

"Freedom Farm was a wonderful, cozy and peaceful place to stay while our RV was in the shop in Elkhart for repairs. Michele is the perfect host - friendly, welcoming, gracious and kind. Her house is bursting with beautiful but simple and thoughtful details and everything you need to feel at home. The location makes it a terrific base camp for exploring Amish country or South Bend. There are SO many neat things to see and do nearby. We’d definitely stay again!"

"My husband and I stayed here for a little getaway for a couple days. Property was very clean and owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Felt cozy but there was plenty of room to spread out for a family. Such cute decor. Kayaks and paddleboat available although we didn't use them as well as a firepit. Close drive to Shipshewana. Secluded and private, close to Amish country and lakes all around! Owner was very easy to reach if we had concerns, check in was a breeze. Great place...

"The house was in good shape and well suited for a large group. We had 10 that slept comfortably. Property manager responded promptly. Some minor misinformation on the VBRO site (likely just out of date) such as an incorrect WiFi password and sending the door code the day prior to arrival, but these were minor things that were resolved promptly with no issue. Overall an enjoyable experience and a nice setting on the lake. Some nearby gunshots in the early morning hours both days could be heard......

"We were looking for a small place near the lake for our small family (myself, wife and daughter). Clean, simple and on point with the description in the listing. Nice touches and some upgrades for an older cottage. It’s all we needed and very convenient to Oakwood Resort and the water. Would book again. Thanks!"

"We came to the area to visit the Amish stores and restaurants. The rental was immaculate and it must have been recently renovated as it was beautifullydecorated. The host thought of everything you couldhave forgotten! You could see their little touches throughout the home: toothbrush, toothpaste, kitchen towels. I mean everything! The yard was beautifully landscaped. It was a joy to sit outside, watching the buggies clop by. The pictures don't do the home justice, come and see it for yourself....
