Villa Ludovica, is located just 15 minutes from the beautiful golden sandy beach of Fontane Bianche, 30 minutes from the Baroque of Noto, 10 minutes from the Necropolis of Pantalica, the latter assets of Unesco, 10 minutes from shopping centers, 50 km from Catania-Fontanarossa Airport. Villa Ludovica is located just 13 km from Syracuse, surrounded by a luxuriant olive grove and a relaxing landscape, where you can spend an unforgettable holiday. On the ground floor near the swimming pool there are available; a complete bathroom with shower, a veranda furnished with table and chairs. Outside, garden, Cornilleau ping pong table, large wood or charcoal barbecue, the splendid 6x12 swimming pool with diving board and solarium, equipped with sun beds, deck chairs, professional umbrellas and a beautiful 7-seater spa jacuzzi. Furthermore, the pool is equipped with a sliding pool cover that allows you to cover and uncover the pool quickly and easily, very useful for protecting the pool from atmospheric agents such as rain and wind but also for preserving the water temperature during the night. A newly built outdoor kitchen in masonry, with barbecue and hob, TV, table football, wooden lounge, table and chairs, where you can have lunch and dinner with unforgettable grills, very comfortable even in winter, as it is closed with beautiful sliding windows . In addition, two padel courts (methods for use to be agreed with the owner). The external staircase leads to the apartment on the 1st floor, where there are 1 bedroom with double bed and 1 bunk bed, 1 bedroom with double bed and 1 single bed, 1 bedroom with nr. 2 single beds or if necessary a double bed, a bathroom with shower, a large and bright kitchen with sofa bed, overlooking the beautiful swimming pool.

Schöne und ruhig gelegene Wohnung in der Nähe von Syrakus
Der Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung war super. Die Wohnung und Außenanlagen waren sauber, ordentlich und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter, welcher selbst mit in dem Haus wohnt, war problemlos. Francesco und seine Familie waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Er hat uns herzlich empfangen und direkt zu Beginn uns Tipps für Ausflüge und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gegeben.

Familienurlaub
Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Personen, darunter 4 Kinder im altern von 5,9,13 und 16. Wir haben im Vorfeld mit Francesco einen shuttle service vereinbart und wurden von ihm und seiner Frau Ilara vom Flughafen abgeholt und bei der Abreise zum Flughafen gebraucht. Während des Aufenthalts haben wir uns den 9sitzet Bus dazu gemietet um die Ortschaft zu erkunden. Das Haus war in einen einwandfreien Zustand als wir ankamen, wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und uns wurde die Unterkunft gezeigt. Der Platz war für uns vollkommen ausreichend und die Möglichkeiten gerade mit Kindern war super. Francesco gab uns sehr viele Tips bezüglich einkaufen, dem Strand und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ich würde jeden empfehlen sich ein Auto dort zu mieten um die wunderschönen Strände und die historische Stadt Syrakus zu entdecken. Alle Strände liegen ca. 12-17 Kilometer entfern und sind einfach mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Die Gastfreundlichkeit von Francesco und Ilara war einfach wunderbar und so Herzlich. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub mit vielen Erlebnissen und werden Sizilien definitiv wieder besuchen und uns einen Aufenthalt bei Francesco und Ilara Buchen. Vielen Dank für den Schönen Urlaub ☀️

Wunderbarer Urlaub
Wir - 3 Erwachsene, 1 Teenie und 3 Kinder - hatten wundervolle Herbstferien in der Villa Ludovica. Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise waren Ilaria und Francesco wunderbare Hosts. Sie waren immer ansprechbar, haben sofort auf Wünsche / Fragen reagiert und uns mit tollen Restauranttips versorgt. Francesco hat uns sogar Sonntagmorgen 6.00 Uhr noch verabschiedet! Das Haus war für uns absolut ausreichend. Italienische zweckmäßige Einrichtung. Herausragend war der Pool mit Sprungbrett - der immer sauber gehalten wurde! Und absolutes Highlight des Hauses war für uns der Padelcourt. Ilaria hat uns 4 Schläger und Bälle ausgeliehen und wir konnten jederzeit auf dem Court spielen! Wir kommen gerne wieder! Und ganz besonderer Dank an Ilaria & Francesco, die uns so erholsame Ferien ermöglicht haben!

Innanzitutto mi scuso per il ritardo sulla recensione, sarebbero tante le cose da dire: il posto bellissimo il massimo del relax, con potenzialità incredibili c’è tutto, ma io che amo le persone sono rimasta basita da Ilaria e il marito Franco sono stati da prima discreti, cordiali, disponibili, poi sono diventati generosi e affettuosi. Purtroppo la vacanza finiva ma io non dimenticherò mai gli abbracci dei saluti, ho viaggiato tanto con mio marito ma non mi era mai successo di innamorarmi così di un posto e dei proprietari. Un abbraccio ancora a Ilaria e Franco e chissà…….

Inaccurate description of bathrooms
The owners are nice and welcoming and the pool is very nice. They use their son and/or Google translate for interacting with non-Italian speakers. The place is generally quiet expect after sunset when people play paddle ball in the adjacent courts. There are three ACs, one in each bedroom. There is an additional room that functions as kitchen, dinning room, and general seating area, and which has no AC. The biggest issue for us, and the one that made us leave the property two days before the planned date, was the location of two of the three bathrooms. There is one bathroom in the apartment that serves all three bedrooms. The other two bathrooms are literally outhouses. One full outhouse is by the pool and it requires you to get out of the apartment, go down a flight of stairs, and walk all the way around the property. There is no lock. The other half outhouse is next to the one I just described and is simply a pool shower with a curtain. The only reason we did not leave immediately upon arrival is that part of our group ended up arriving late due to flight delays, and for our family of four the one indoors bathroom was sufficient.

Fabulous holiday base with amazing pool
Francesco greeted us on our arrival and together with his wife Ilaria, were always very amenable. We loved having the beautiful pool all to ourselves and though there are many other things available to us to use, we used the pool and table tennis as the weather was so hot. Plenty of seating and dining areas, with the upstairs balconies giving you stunning panoramic views of the area and mountains. All the bedrooms are air conditioned which was a blessing given the temperatures. The villa is a traditional basic setup and we were able to prepare beautiful meals (well my son and daughter-in-law did!) using locally bought produce. He even made traditional Sicilian pizza! The villa is able to accommodate 9 due to the bunk beds in each bedroom but we didn’t need them. An excellent villa for all families, young and old. We went out for a few excursions though couldn’t wait to get back and jump in the gorgeous pool. Francesco cleans the pool daily and his wife Ilaria is on hand if you need anything. I would highly recommend Villa Ludovica to anyone.

Great facilities, very responsive host!
The villa was as an oasis with all amenities in it: pool, ping pong table, fooseball, grill, terrace, ... We were an 8 people company of around 50 y.o. The facility comfortably accommodated our team. There were 3 bedrooms: 1 had 2 single beds and 2 bedrooms each had 1 queen size bed and one bulk bed (2-level beds). As a result, each of us had its own bed. All bedrooms located on the 2nd floor. There were 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens (one on the upper floor (2nd floor) and one on the ground floor (1st floor). There was also 3(!) dining places - 2 on the upper floor (one outdoors on the terrace and one inside - in the kitchen) and 1 on the ground floor. There was a washer and dryer for clothes. No dishwasher.

Tolle Unterkunft mit vielen Möglichkeiten!
Sehr tolle geräumige Unterkunft mit sehr netten Vermietern! Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und wurde alles gezeigt und wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt! Perfect hosts/less perfect house if you’re many people
Ilaria and Francesco are very nice, welcoming and helpful. We were 9 people which starts to be a bit too much for the house, since there is only one shared bathroom (there is another one but not inside the apartment). The kitchen equipment also has limits. Still, the stay was nice!

The leisure facilities of paddle tennis , and swimming etc were all excellent. The accommodation was simple but very satisfactory. It would have been nice to have had functioning plugs in the kitchen and bathroom sinks, if only to save water. Our hosts were very welcoming and extremely kind and helpful when our car got a puncture. The situation was fairly good , being within easy driving distance of supermarkets and restaurants. It took longer to get to Syracuse but on the other hand we were in pleasant countryside.

heerlijk relax
Rustig gelegen met groot zwembad zonder andere gasten. Veel ruimte o zowel binnen als buiten te barbecuen. De gastheer was heel erg service gericht en heeft ons goed geholpen. Makkelijk om naar Siracuse te gaan, maar ook in de omliggende dorpjes zijn goede restaurants. Een aanrader!

Location serena e tranquilla... a due passi dal centro e dai supermercati, immersa nel verde e con una piscina da favola tutta per noi. I proprietari davvero discreti e un plauso va a Ilaria, una persona dolcissima e sempre disponibile con cui ho avuto modo di legare di più. La villa a disposizione tutta per noi ha tutte le comodità di una casa vacanze. Letti comodi e stanze da letto climatizzate. Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima settimana in relax e armonia. La piscina è la chicca della struttura e merita già da sola. Di sera poi il calcio balilla e il ping pong erano il ns. passatempo preferito. La consiglio per una vacanza in famiglia all'insegna del relax e della tintarella.

Wonderful Villa
Ilaria and Francesco are extremely welcoming hosts. When we arrived they showed us around their lovely villa, explaining the facilities and providing advice on local restaurants, supermarkets and places to visit. They are lovely people extremely hospitable making us feel instantly at home. During our stay they remained discreet. The villa has excellent sports facilities with table tennis, tennis, swimming pool, hot tub and a padel court. Superb grounds with palms and olive trees surround the villa. There is plenty of private parking. Surrounding the pool there is a shower room and a variety of seating, loungers and table options available to choose from in and out of shade. The good sized pool is kept clean both inside and out. Francesco is very diligent in his pool and grounds maintenance. The villa is well furnished, in a quiet location with the balcony offering lovely views of the sunsets. Our party of four adults and two children enjoyed the plentiful facilities immensely. The villa is clean and well equipped. The air conditioning keeps the bedrooms cool. It was exactly what we expected from the photos and description. It was an excellent location to explore Siracusa, Ortygia , Noto and Fontane Bianche. The villa it is also not far from Catalina making it easy to reach Mount Etna. If you are looking for great family holiday in Sicily you are in good hands here. We enjoyed it to the fullest and hope to come back in the future.

Beautiful outside facilities especially the pool, interior needs updatIng, too small for 9 people
Ilaria and Francesco were very welcoming when we arrived and showed us around, and explained everything. We stayed for a week as 2 families - 4 adults with 5 kids ages 6-14. The grounds and exterior of the property had great sports facilities and we all loved these. The pool area was lovely with good sun beds and seating areas. This is the four star rating for us but however interior would have been a 3 star. Unfortunately the interior accommodation didn’t match to the same standard, we found 3 bedrooms to sleep 9 was too small for our needs, especially with only one bathroom on this floor. (There was an exterior shower room downstairs by the pool). However it may work for families with younger children as 2 of the double bedrooms had bunkbeds, this left the rooms very cramped and the wardborbes / drawers tricky to access. Bed linen and decor could do with updating. Air con in the bedrooms worked well, and so did the outside kitchen / bbq downstairs. There seemed to be a lot of unrelated equipment located in common areas (stacks of patio chairs, many items stacked in kitchen or cupboards/ around the edges of the property) that gave a cluttered aspect. Location wise, it’s a good point to use as a base to drive to Siracusa, Fontane Bianche, Avola, but not possible to walk anywhere for a cafe / restaurant. These are very limited in the local towns Floridia/ Solarino so a car is definitely needed. It’s a very peaceful location however, so great to watch sunsets and the stars from the upstairs terrace.

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique à la villa. Piscine, tennis, spa ping-pong etc tout était ok
C’est une villa bien située à quelques kilomètres de l’aéroport de Catane, également de Siracuse et pas très loin de la mer à 15 minutes. Nous avons profité de la piscine et de toutes les infrastructures et il y en a. Francesco est venu nous chercher à Solarino car la villa est retirée mais la ville est proche et les super marchés aussi. De bons petits restaurants sont à proximité. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et vous renseignent si vous avez des questions Ilaria sait plusieurs langues. Même qu’ils habitent dans la maison ils sont très discrets. Notre semaine de vacances était trop courte car si on veut visiter on ne peut pas assez profiter des installations, tennis,spa, ping-pong, baby-foot, volley, piscine, vélo enfin de quoi occuper vos journée. Même pas le temps de faire de la chaises longues. Je ne peux que recommander la villa à des amis et peut-être y retourner un jour.
