The magical Mossman Gorge is located in the wet tropical region of Queensland and is an amazing rainforest with so much beauty.
Great time at the The Daintree National Park in Port Douglas, AU.,
The Mossman River is a beautiful part of the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland - you can do a guided SUP tour down the river with Windswell Port Douglas, the best way to experience the rainforest and river, with lots of swimming holes and tree swings along the way.
What better way to spend a rainy day than walking through the rainforest! Mossman Gorge is part of the Daintree Rainforest and Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and about a 15-minute drive from Port Douglas. It's one of the best places to explore the rainforest in Far North Queensland. Shuttle buses run to and from the visitors centre to the start of the circuit walks. Part of the walk is very flat and wheelchair accessible, but the 2km circular walk has a little bit of climbing. We walked all of the paths and had a great time taking a ridiculous number of photos. It was beautiful in the wet, and the canopy kept us sheltered from the rain. Mossman Gorge is at the southern most end (and my favourite part) of the Daintree Rainforest. It’s ancient, pristine and full of high vibrational energy. Mossman Gorge is free to enter but you do have to purchase a pass to catch the shuttle bus into the main walking area. Or you can walk the 2km yourself. A boardwalk takes you to the Mossman River and a beautiful swimming area. The river can be dangerous after heavy rain, which is why it was recommended we not swim when we visited. The Mossman River water is said to be the second most purest in the world.

Not a 5-star experience - disappointed / low value
Value for money is pretty low here. Paid a high value per night for a 5-star hotel that is pretty worn out and did not have the “touch” of what a 5-star experience is. Breakfast was pretty poor (messy, low quality and limited variety).
