"We were stuck on the third floor. There is no elevator so we had to lug our luggage up three floors. The shower was a flimsy curtain inside an old clawfoot tub. The curtain was not large enough to allow freedom to shower, and even dangerous as it’s design could easily lead to a fall. The lock was flimsy, and the interior door handle was loose, making a loud noise whenever we tried to shut the bathroom door. Someone else snoring in the hotel somewhere reverberated through our room, so it was not...

Our room smelled terrible the entire time we were there. Even worse, shortly after checking in, I went to use the bathroom and discovered that the toilet had not been cleaned at all—there was urine all over the toilet seat. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel room.

"I think the staff would do anything possible to accommodate guest requests, even if it was out of the ordinary. Also the location made it surprisingly easy to view local attractions in Sitka, especially the Raptor Center which was awesome!"
