"We were a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls. We stayed in one of the Zen Garden Suites, and really loved the suite. Very spaceous and plenty of room for our family. The location was right next to Kyoto Station and in direct connection with Kyoto Avanti shopping mall. Great location for us, but you need to travel to visit any of the sights in Kyoto. As most of the sights are spread out across the city, I don't think there is one central location that can cover all, and with a location at Kyoto Station, public transport was right at hand. Both metro, train and busses. Nice breakfast buffet. A good variety of food to try, but with a focus on Japanees breakfast. A lot of small bowls to pick from. But as the bowls are small, the staff need to refill them often. They tried, but we often saw empty bowls, and when we had breakfast at 9 am, we often experienced that the choice of bread was very limited. Sometimes all regular bread was gone."

"Clean okay-size room, nice personnel and lobby On our first day, breakfast was sold out before 9AM, which was strange. We pre-booked breakfast for the next day and it was okay, just not a lot of choices. "
