Beautiful and peaceful

We attended a wedding close by and also explored around Massachusetts. If you like water sports this is definitely a great place to stay. The property was beautiful. It was very clean and updated. GPS was accurate. We had no problems but contacted owner and got a response almost immediately. Would highly recommend this property

Fantastic stay for the holidays!

To keep it short and simple, what a glorious home. Loved everything about it. Fully stocked kitchen, extremely comfortable beds, fantastic views, etc. We recently moved away from Massachusetts and to be able to visit and use this rental, it really made it feel like home. While we stayed in January, I can only imagine how great it would be in the warmer months. Highly recommend a stay at this home if you are visiting central Massachusetts. Thank you Cynthia.

Relax at the lake

House was beautiful, extremely clean and as advertised. The owner went above and beyond to communicate with me. Always timely reply and super helpful. I have family members in the area and this spacious house was the perfect gathering spot. We spent a great deal of time on the large deck overlooking the lake. We had no problem with the access road to the property. I would gladly stay here again and would highly recommend this property to others.

Gorgeous property that made us feel spoiled !

What an amazing experience! Traveling from the west coast, wanted to experience the full east coast. House on the lake with a fresh snow next morning. We were able to host Thanksgiving for my inlaws and had all that was needed. Ample space for my teenage boys and lots of entertainment to keep them happy Even though it was cold, my boys enjoyed trying to fish and feed the ducks. The beds and baths were very accommodating and comfortable. Would highly recommend and will be back in the future. Kitchen had all needed utensils, dishware and appliances. Highly recommend and beautiful property. THANK YOU!

Fantastic home

The house on Sterling Lake is fantastic. It is beautifully decorated in an elegant yet whimsical style. It spacious and perfect for family get-togethers.We were there for our grandson's Master's and undergraduate graduations and we had several members of our extended family that were able to make the trip.While only four of us stayed at the house, we were able to cook dinner for all 12 of us abd eat at the house rather than go to a noisy restaurant to celebrate. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly want from the fabulous kitchen to the bathrooms fit for royalty. Don't even get me started on the unbelievable views. In addition, the hostess was wonderful and very patient with me when I had a couple of questions about the front door lock and how to access channels on the television. I only have one regret. I wish we could have spent a month in this exceptional vacation rental instead of 5 nights. In

Fabulous 2 week vacation

Absolutely beautiful, clean, stocked with everything we needed. Well organized, modern appliances. Beautiful deck and views of the lake. Beautiful and unique decorations, art, and sculptures. Property was well cared for by caretakers who were attentive and responsive to request. We were so blessed to have experienced this VRBO! Perfect Stay

My family could not have had a better stay. The accommodations were excellent. Everything we needed was included. The view of the lake and the comfortable patio furniture made for relaxing days. We kayaked, and boated the whole week. The sunsets were gorgeous.

A magical vacation

When you go on vacation, you hope there will be a few high points – a pleasant house, a beautiful setting, a place to comfortably relax, and so on. What you don’t expect are actual moments of wonder. Our magical moment happened on our last morning. We were sitting on the back deck eating breakfast, when a blue heron landed on the dock then began a slow, elegant walk toward us. And it just kept coming closer and closer, right to the end of the dock, and kept approaching on the grass lawn. Then it stopped and stood there watching us, the sunlight off the lake setting it aglow. At last, it flew off toward the lake, vanishing in the sparkling light. This is a fantastic vacation spot. We loved the house, with comfortable chairs and sofas in front of every window, and even chairs on the two balconies, perfect for watching the lake. Everything was exactly as advertised, all of it even better than the excellent VRBO photos. Great kitchen, great beds, well-appointed bathrooms, on and on. Thank you for a splendid week, Mary and Jon.

Memorial Day Family Visit

My wife and I visited our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson who live in Acton. This house was about 30 minutes away but offered a beautiful lakeside opportunity and was in a very quiet neighborhood. The house can accommodate a large group for daily activities and has 3 nice size bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with hardware. There are numerous areas for group chats, playing games, and catching up. The road leading to the house needs some significant repair but was navigable. A dock is available and a city launch is a couple of hundred feet away. There are plenty of lake toys in the garage. We had a great weekend and hope to be able to use this property on future visits.

The property is immaculate, colorful, and beautifully equipped. I felt like I were staying in a high-rise condo in New York City, but I got to look out on the beautiful lake of Sterling Massachusetts.

Like being at home and on vacation at the same time.

Such a wonderful stay! We really didn’t want to leave. The owners thought of every small detail to make this beautiful house feel like home and a vacation all rolled into one. We’ve stayed in many rental homes and this one was probably the most organized and meticulously cleaned. Absolutely spotless. The caretaker and owner were a pleasure to communicate with, were very helpful and quick to reply. Gorgeous lake views from almost every room, top of the line appliances and thoughtful amenities throughout. The master bedroom and bathroom is like a dream. Super soft towels too! The pantry was stocked with a great assortment of spices and basic staples and breakfast foods. We arrived just ahead of a blizzard and got snowed in our first day, which we planned on. It was a perfect place to just relax and unwind. The streets were plowed very quickly and we had an easy drive to nearby Wachusett Ski Mountain the following day. As an artist and art teacher, I also greatly appreciated the many beautiful original paintings, photographs and cultural artifacts displayed throughout the house. Definitely planning on returning sometime during the summer to enjoy the lake and kayaks then. Thank you for being an impeccable host!

Absolutely Stunning Lake Home

Beautiful and comfortable home in a wonderful location! From the moment we arrived everything was perfect ! Check in was easy and communication was excellent . The house was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay . Lots of extras such as cut fresh flowers upon arrival and basic breakfast items left for us in the fridge ! The owners even ordered us a homemade apple pie from a local bakery and had it delivered to us to enjoy for the Holidays! We enjoyed viewing the various birds , squirrels and ducks from the glass sunroom each day as we enjoyed our morning coffee. This home is truly a great escape if you want to unwind and get away from it all! We travel a lot and this has been the best rental thus far !! We highly recommend!
