Simple rooms, but with nice beds - and the most amazing views you could possibly think of!
Reasonably priced and with solid breakfast (including prosecco), perfect before a day's hike.
Finally, very warm hospitality from the hotel owners Sandra and Daniel. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Will return.

"Room had amazing view of the mountains and a little balcony where we sat just taking in the views and the sounds of the birds, cow bells, and thunder. It was a very clean and comfortable modernized room. Loved the bed! No elevator, but I loved the rustic vibe. Front desk very friendly and helpful."
"We stayed one night only but the moment we got there we felt welcome. Number one quality of this place is the the owners hospitality. Number 2 is the location and the views you have from the rooms. Number 3 the room size, cleanliness and comfort. I prefer to stay in such a place than a big hotel chain. This is far more cozy and family friendly. Breakfast was great as well. No complaints and would stay again. "
"Besøg af 2 personer 5-9/6/25. Fantastisk hyggeligt hotel, perfekt beliggenhed i Wengen. Havde værelse #18 med balkon og udsigt over hyggelig have, park og Jungfrau-bjerget i baggrunden. Perfekt base til en forlænget weekend med mange vandreture i bjergene (Männlichen, Kleine Scheidegg og foden af Eiger). Lækker morgenmad og aftensmad med fint udvalg og høj kvalitet. Meget hjælpsomt og imødekommende personale overalt. Absolut de bedste anbefalinger. "
"While the room and building was full of character and history, it was also well-equipped with plenty of space and storage for travellers. The common room for guests had snacks, tea, and coffee, as well as a large fridge. The location is great, a few minutes walk to Interlaken West station and very close to a convenience store. There's a bakery just next to the building and the Interlaken Flagship shop is just down the road."
"We visited at the end of April when this hotel was still under construction. It was a minor inconvenience as we paid for a “garden view” when the view was a complete construction zone. They did upgrade our room size because of this. That being said, the restaurant was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and ate at the restaurant both nights. Their buffet breakfast is also amazing. Seeing that the hotel is no longer under construction, I would definitely stay here...
"Amazing location and an even better price. I had a single room and it was very small, but it was clean, everything worked and I had an incredible view out my window. The other reviews that mention flies at breakfast aren't wrong, but this is a dairy region. There are flies all over. It isn't a disaster, but if this is going to wreck your trip maybe stay in Interlaken."
"Loved the exceptional staff - very friendly and helpful. The room (panoramic view) was incredible, very spacious with amazing view of Mt. Eiger. Breakfast was tasty. Very walkable in Grindelwald and to/from train station. Stellar stay, I would definitely stay again! "
"Wengen is a hidden gem and this property was fabulous! I stayed with my 4 kids on the top level, which was a space with 2 rooms and a loft. We had plenty of sleeping space and magnificent views of the mountains and valley. There are cute shops and fantastic restaurants in Wengen. Hotel Falken offered a nice breakfast, and the staff was welcoming and helpful to us during our stay."
"The bedroom and the hotel was so clean and fresh. The view of the Eiger from our bedroom was amazing and I never tired of seeing it. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. The hotel had a calm feel. Located slightly outside the town meant that it was a peaceful setting while still being close enough to facilities. I would certainty book to stay at Grindellodge again in I was holidaying in the area. "
