Downtown Funk: Walkable, Modern Loft

  • Downtown Funk is a unique two-story apartment located on the first and second level of the house. The lower level features a living area and kitchenette. Up the winding spiral staircase is the king bedroom and full bathroom. Don't worry, you will have second floor access up a traditional staircase so you don't have to haul your luggage up a spiral staircase.

    FLOOR 1 -

    LIVING ROOM: sofa, lounge chair, framed smart TV

    KITCHENETTE: mini fridge, sink, microwave, electric 2-burner cooktop, Keurig, blender

    FLOOR 2 -

    BEDROOM: king bed, nightstands, accent chair, full length mirror, additional blankets, portable tower fan

    BATHROOM: Single vanity, toilet, bath tub/shower combo, hair dryer, toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap)

    LIBRARY: All guests have access to the library in the basement. This is common space for all guests to use and it is located down one flight of stairs from Downtown Funk.

    THINGS TO NOTE:

    - This is a multi-unit building, not a single family home. There are 3 other beautifully renovated Airbnb units here. Please keep in mind, we do not have full time staff on site. All guests will be asked to respect the space and be courteous of others by adhering to quiet hours from 10pm-7am.

    - This is NOT a pet-friendly/smoker friendly accommodation. Violations subject to $250 fine.

    - Free street parking on S Coalter St. with loaned parking pass.

    **Privacy Disclosure: For the safety of our guests and our staff, we have Ring monitoring cameras set up in 3 locations:

    1. Ring camera is monitoring and capturing live video and audio of the front door entrance.

    2. Ring camera is monitoring and capturing live video and audio of the side door entrance.

    3. Ring camera is monitoring and capturing live video and audio of the back deck/yard.

Downtown Funk is a delightful place to stay!

Downtown Funk is walkable to shops and restaurants. It is well stocked with anything you might need during your stay. The bedroom is bright and pretty.

It was absolutely amazing ! It was just as advertised. The location was great which made the walk to the downtown area very easy. We are already planning a return trip in August.

This was the perfect spot we needed to relax after driving a long way to visit Staunton. Everything was as pictured and more beautiful in person. The house is quiet. We could hear a little of the people staying in the other parts of the VRBO, but it did not cause any problems. A little bit of road traffic, but it helped put me to sleep in the comfortable bed! Thank you for an excellent stay!

Modern yet historically charming apartment in Staunton with all the amenities you could want. We were impressed with the cleanliness and the attention to detail. Coffee and tea were provided as well as sparkling waters. We loved the downstairs Library! We can't wait to return!

Charming and comfortable, walking distance to shops and restaurants

The two-level apartment was lovely! Bedroom and bath up a small spiral staircase, but there is also a regular staircaise leading to a second-floor door into the bathroom. First floor had a comfortable living area, small cooking set-up, and TV. A great feature was the shared ground-floor library area with plenty of room to work (plus books and games). Cozy and clean--we'll be back.

So charming and comfortable!

The ease of coming and going from the suite. The great parking right outside your door. Since this was a two-story suite, we had no issues with someone walking around over top of us. And the bed was to die for!
