"If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! I cannot recommend it enough. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by hens and cats. We were then shown to our ‘living area’, bathroom and upstairs - a double bed and bunk beds. "We were visiting the White Scar caves and The Wheatsheaf was an excellent choice for an overnight stay. The room ( Snow Fall) was a good size, simply decorated but had everything you needed for a short stay, in particular a decent tea tray. Only issue was the bathroom door is difficult to open, we found three old ladies had been in there since Monday, seriously my wife couldn't open it and I had to push it from the outside.
