Wake up on the Muskegon River at this renovated 2-bedroom cottage on Rogers Pond. Paddle out from your private dock in the 2 included kayaks, fish or swim off the dock, then grill dinner on the shaded deck and finish at the fire pit. Inside: a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, fast Wi-Fi and a workspace. Sleeps 6 in 3 beds. The White Pine Trail is about a mile away, and downtown Big Rapids is 10 minutes.

We live nearby and are always a message away. We usually reply within the hour. We'll leave you to enjoy the river, but we're happy to share our favorite local spots for dinner, fishing and trails.

Rogers Pond is a quiet stretch of the Muskegon River near Stanwood, with two easy towns nearby. Canadian Lakes, about 15 minutes away, has Hixon's Family Market for groceries, Antlers Fireside Grill for dinner, and great golf: Tullymore (one of Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Public Courses) and its sister course St. Ives. Big Rapids, about 10 minutes away, has Meijer, Walmart, Lowe's and plenty of chain restaurants, plus a fun downtown with local favorites Blue Cow Cafe and Schuberg's Bar. More golf is near Big Rapids at Katke (Ferris State), Falcon Head and Clear Lake. The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail is about a mile from the house: bike it in summer or ride snowmobiles in winter.

- 2 kayaks with paddles and life jackets are included. Please use them at your own risk.
- Swim and fish right off the dock. A Michigan fishing license is required for anyone 17 or older.
- Free parking for 2 cars, plus room for a snowmobile trailer
- Self check-in with a keypad. The code is sent before you arrive.
- Pontoon add-on: Spend a day on the water with our pontoon, available for an extra fee. It has to be reserved before arrival and depends on weather. A signed waiver is required. Message us to book it.

- Gas firepit is provided.
- No pets. No smoking or parties.
- Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am out of respect for our neighbors on the pond.
-The pontoon is an optional paid add-on. Any operator born after June 30, 1996 needs a Michigan boater safety certificate. Life jackets are provided.
