"I booked a two night stay at this historic Inn. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations and I had to cut my stay short. The bathroom was in such bad repair and smelled like sewage that I refused to use it, which is why we chose to leave after only one night. The place has great potential and the staff is very sweet, but the place is dilapidated and in serious need of repair especially the bathroom of the Jefferson suite. "What a fun little find! Lovely spacious inn deep in the heart of Charlottesville wine country. Close to a number of wineries and to Charlottesville. The suite had a comfortable sitting room and a spacious bedroom. Don't miss dinner at the inn as it's amazing. Breakfast the next morning was better than any hotel breakfast I've had in years--the French toast will haunt my dreams. Definitely will be back. "

"Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park.
