Sat in bar after meal on some lovely leather sofas with a beer chatting with other residents. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Breakfast great- perfect fuel for a day of hiking. We will be back the staff were so nice and welcoming Thank you"

Delicious breakfast and we ate at the hotel both evenings. Good choice of food. Averagely priced. Comfortable room but pillows a bit too firm for me.

"The hotel is really clean and the bed was very comfy. There are extra tea bags, biscuits & milk bags on every level which is a nice touch.
The breakfast had several options, my breakfast wasn’t the best but my boyfriends was better. The car park gets very busy & it can be difficult to park. Would recommend. "

Only negative comment is it would have been good to know in advance that it was a haunted property (most haunted pub in Derbyshire allegedly) rather than finding out on arrival. It freaked me out and I slept poorly. Would have booked elsewhere if I had known. "
