"The cabin was incredibly cute, clean, and well equipped. The snacks and T-shirts made arrival extra welcoming! The property was so much fun to relax on! We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, and the covered front porch every day. Our dogs enjoyed walking the grounds and hanging out with us in and around the cabin. "We very much enjoyed the cabin/house, especially the history. So glad the original structure is still there and the decorating fits the time period. It is also well appointed. I had fun imagining the original owners. The location is so peaceful yet central to many attractions. I definitely recommend the property."

"We loved staying at Bourbon Barrel Cottages! It was a lovely getaway for us and our dog (yes, pet friendly!). Close to many distilleries but tucked away and peaceful. We enjoyed the hottub and fire pit each night and walking our dog every day. Looking forward to our next stay!"

"Even better than advertised. Conveniently located to Bourbon Trail. The area is nice, quiet, and relaxing. We loved the attention to details in the cabin. Had everything we needed and more. Was even decorated for Christmas 🎄 We enjoyed roaming around the property with our dog. Definitely our new go to place for the Frankfort area."

"The house was very cute and comfortable. We had the basics as needed in the apartment. The beds and linen made for a good night sleep. Having 2 full bathrooms was great. The drive from Lexington was so scenic. Definitely check out Wallace Station Deli right down the road. I would recommend this place to others traveling to the area."

"Definitely a good place to wind down. Woke up on the second morning to several cows and a few calf’s at the fence. I was so excited, but know to respect their space. It woke up early every morning just to see if they were there. Sat on the porch every evening and enjoyed the sounds of farm life in the distance. Thank You!"

"The house was clean and nice as described. The owner forgot to change the code to the door for us to enter. When we called he fixed the issue.The water in the pool was ‘green’ the hot tub was fine. We found it odd that we were asked to wash and put away all the dishes. We felt leaving them washing in the dishwasher was best for us to be out by the appointed time. We would stay there again."

"The property was beautiful and relaxing, with the private lake, manicured grounds and surrounded by majestic horses. The hosts were very welcoming. We even had an impromptu game of Cash Cab at breakfast since everyone says My Husband looks like the Cash Cab Host. It was a fun and personalized way to end our visit there! "

"The code was showing on the wall next to the door which made us feel less than safe. I tried to contact the owner and he never responded. The sofa smelt like someone peed in it. The bedroom close to the kitchen had a mold smell. But the most worrying issue was the shower that was in the bathtub was on a platform with no rail to hold on to in order to get out safely. Otherwise we enjoyed the house."
