Overall, the host was good and my family enjoyed our stay. The condo is definitely outdated and has old furniture and appliances, but this was nice with kids who are running in and out constantly changing wet clothes. The two toilets definitely struggle to flush but they didn't clog fully, just required some extra flushes. Regarding the property itself, we had a strange interaction with the primary maintenance worker (the pool cleaner) early in our stay. While my school-aged kids were going back and forth between hot tub and the pool (along with other children who were using it throughout the weekend), the maintenance worker approached me and warned that their “internal organs could cook” if they stayed in too long. The comment felt unnecessarily alarming, especially since our kids and other families continued using it at-will throughout the rest of our 7-day stay without any further concerns or instructions from any staff. It's possible he was bothered by some other reason, but this interaction really bothered me. The sand has just been replaced here after the hurricanes and is not "white powder" like some other beaches, it has tons of broken shells in it. It's still very soft but the shells can be sharp and I'd say it's even safer to be barefoot in it-shoes can cause the shells to get caught and cut skin. The ocean is beautiful and great for swimming and there is a great family atmosphere.
