Casa de Corazon is a family home that is opening a new chapter in its life as a tropical Florida getaway, close to the beach as well as great Florida destinations. At the end of the day, relax in the screened private pool and patio, and retire to the two comfortable bedrooms and two private bathrooms. The quiet neighborhood is perfect for an excellent night's sleep. Living room includes a queen size sofa/sleeper for two additional guests. The fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and Florida sunroom with French doors opening to the pool area are designed for total privacy and relaxation. Smart TV, wifi and washer and dryer included.

Casa de Corazon is ideally located for beach days, shopping and dining. Indian Rocks Beach is 10 minutes away, Clearwater Beach 20 minutes, Treasure Island Beaches 30 minutes, St. Petersburg Beach and Pass-a-Grille 40 to 45 minutes. Excursion boats and charter fishing boats are available at Clearwater Beach and at John's Pass on Madeira Beach. Dolphin watch cruises and sunset cruises are very popular. For more adventure, Tarpon Springs is about one hour north. The old Greek town was home to sponge divers and is an excellent place to see manatees. Shopping is outstanding in St. Petersburg, Clearwater Beach and John's Pass areas.

Seafood restaurants abound in the area. Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, shrimp and scallops, redfish, and even hogfish, are popular choices. Just 10 minutes away in Indian Rocks Beach are P.J.'s, J.D.'s, Jimmy Guana's, and the original Crabby Bill's. In John's Pass/Treasure Island are Bubba Gump, Scuppers, Caddies, the big Crabby's at the Pass, and Middle Ground Grille. Downtown St. Petersburg has a major arts scene, including The Salvador Dali Museum, and a new Doc Ford's Raw Bar and Grill on the water. Doc Ford's is outstanding!

For those wanting a theme park day, Casa de Corazon is located about 30 minutes from Busch Gardens in Tampa, and 90 minutes from Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. It is actually very realistic to wake up in Largo in the morning, drive the 90 minutes to Disney, spend the day there, and drive back to Casa de Corazon in the evening.

For the veteran who is looking for comradery and inexpensive entertainment, there are two VFW halls, and three American Legion halls within 10-15 minutes drive. Each offers dining, bar service, dancing, and other unique features for the Florida experience.

Casa de Corazon is decorated with art from many nations. The Owner spent a great deal of his career working internationally. Much of the art was obtained in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean Islands. While we hope you enjoy it, while caring for our sentimental, worldly art.

We were disappointed on arrival to this home. Although the home was clean, it seriously in need of updating, including worn furniture, pool with green “stains” or scum in the bottom, poorly functioning filter, skimmer net that was unusable, hot tub not working, microwave with piece across top edge missing, non functioning light over stove, multiple light switches that did not do anything, laundry from previous renter still in washer and drier. Otherwise it was only OK at best!

My wife and I stayed at the property for 2 months during the winter and found it a nice home away from home. It's in a good location, close to many activities and attractions. Largo has many nice parks for those who enjoy hiking in the woods in the middle of an urban area. And the beach is just a few miles away. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with,,,,he even let me use his bike....the Pinellas Trail is a block away.

I felt misled and experienced communication and maintenance issues throughout the stay. Prior to arrival, I had to reach out to the owner a full day after I was supposed to receive check-in instructions, as no information had been sent and I was already driving. I was understanding because it was Christmas, but it unfortunately became an early indicator of the communication challenges that continued during the stay.The listing photos show what appears to be a built-in spa attached to the pool, but upon arrival it turned out to be an inflatable spa. That alone wouldn’t have been a deal-breaker, except it did not work at all. Over several days I messaged the owner, and while a brother-in-law did come by, the issue was never resolved. The spa would not heat and repeatedly displayed error messages, making it unusable for the entire stay.I expected the home to be dated, but I did not expect the level of maintenance issues. There was visible mold in the master shower, rusted and unusable lounge chairs, a microwave missing its cover, no working lights in the kitchen, and multiple fixtures throughout the home without lightbulbs or with significant rust. The pool itself was stained, and the entire outdoor area appeared to need a thorough power washing.Overall, the condition of the property fell well below expectations and left us disappointed. This is unfortunate, because the house is in a great location and could be very nice with proper maintenance and accurate representation.

Home was in a great neighbor, very convenient to everythimg. Home very dated but extremely clean. Everything you might need was available. Two spacious bedrooms and nice open kitchen to dining area and living room. Check in and contact with owner was easy and fast. Pool an extra plus but at this time of year too cold to use. Probably fine for kids. Description of home was very accurate. Would stay again in the future and would definitely recommend .home

Enjoyed our relaxing stay. Impressed on how quiet the neighborhood is. Very comfortable and nicely decorated home with a fully stocked kitchen. A few items could use updating and some TLC, especially the kitchen lighting and the carpeting, but overall was a very enjoyable home.

Great cute place!

This place was great. The shower in the master probably needs to be re caulked and the the hot tub did not work but it was a great sleep with a full kitchen ( with utensils and such!). The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and the house inside was very cozy.

Nice Vacation Home near Indian Rocks Beach

We enjoyed our stay in the house. The big pool was fantastic and the spa was also very nice. The owner was very quickly be answering questions. Thanks for this. Indian Rocks Beach is just a short drive away. We felt safe in the house and the neighborhood was nice, too

Great Place!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood was quiet, and central to the places and things we wanted to do and see. The house itself was great. Very clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Nice tv for relaxing after a full day, and we really enjoyed the private pool as well. The kitchen has a lot of good counter space to meet anybody's needs, and has a great layout in relation to the dining and living room. There were also plenty of towels, and other supplies provided, as well. The microwave has probably seen better days. The carousel feature doesn't work, and the panel that hides the installation screws is missing. But it still works just fine, and didn't pose any problems. Also, the ceiling fan in the sun room doesn't seem to work, either. The lights come on, but the fan doesn't turn (pulled the chain a few times, but nothing but lights come on). Also, not a problem since we didn't really use the room, and the house has AC, anyway. On the upside, the extra full size fridge in the sun room is a great idea, especially for families planning on cooking a lot. You can keep the food in the kitchen, and fill the sun room fridge with beverages. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. Gerry was really great for answering any questions I had, and was thoughtful enough to check in a time or two to make sure everything was good with the house. We will definitely keep this place marked as a favorite for the next time we come down.

The home is exactly as displayed in the pictures. Not fancy and updated but more than adequate and comfortable. The location is fantastic - close to beaches, shopping, restaurants, sporting activities, amusements/parks. Great spot for a family with small kids - the pool will keep them amused while the parents relax poolside.

Two week stay

Quiet location. Pool green not usable . Cleaning not great. Needs lots of updating. Couldn't use pool. No filtration, only once per week when pool man came. Approached host , no help. BBQ very dirty and oven. Owners response was, " are you going to use the pool as it's not that hot". Very disappointed. Could be a good rental property if maintained property.

Fantastic host!

This property was perfect for our needs. We were celebrating a reunion with relatives with my 95 year old mother. She was thrilled to be able to spend time with a variety of friends and family. The host, Gerry, was so helpful and accommodating. We had a fantastic time due to the flexibility and understanding of our needs by Host Gerry. Thanks so much for a memorable time!

Property owner was very responsive

Property owner responded quickly to the only issue we had during our stay. Place was 10 min from the beach and just a few minutes from some great shopping. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!
