"The hotel was very modern and comfortable. It felt like a cosy coffee shop in the lobby, with a lovely bar on the side. The staff in both the hotel and bar were extremely friendly and the free welcoming drink was a nice added bonus! The room was bright and the bed comfy with a lovely sea view. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Margate! Thank you for a brilliant night :) x"

"Overall a lovely stay. The only negative was the set-up of the bathroom - the shower was open and we found that the water accumulated to the point of flooding the whole bathroom floor, and carpeting outside of the bathroom ( there was a floor squeegee to push the water towards the drain), the sink was very, very small and there was nowhere to put toiletries. "

"We celebrated our 42nd Anniversary with an amazing seaview room with a balcony and complementary drinks. The view was fantastic.The Haddock and Chips and Taglioni Pasta at the restaurant were delicious and the chef was able to accommodate our unspicy chicken wings which was perfect! Kudos to the staff and management for the care and making our stay so memorable. We would come back."

"Old shady hotel that definitely had its prime 30-40 years ago. Wasn't well kept, the rooms where filthy, the toilets didn't work and the waterhose in the shower had no power and could only be extremely hot or extremely cold. Plus it also leaked during the night, giving a drip drip drip noise all the time. The bed was also very uncomfortable, being very short and you could feel the strings underneath. "There was no clear indication of how we accessed the property. Despite trying to communicate with the owner, there was no response. We had to just turn up and hope for the best. "I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach."
