This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at this hotel, and it’s disappointing because I’ve stayed at Ecotel Dahab many times before. I was honestly shocked by how much the quality has declined, especially considering that the hotel wasn’t even busy during my stay.
The staff were not friendly at all, and the level of service was far below what I was used to in the past. The food was extremely poor in both taste and variety. Most days the options were almost the same — dishes like molokhia, beans, spinach, koshari, and okra — which was nothing like the diverse and tasty meals the hotel used to offer.
The air conditioning in my room didn’t work during my entire 5-night stay. I reported it every day, but it was never properly fixed. The overall atmosphere also lacked the quiet, relaxing environment that used to be one of the hotel’s best features. Instead, there were groups of young guests making constant noise, which made it hard to rest.
It’s clear that cost-cutting has become the hotel’s main priority, and unfortunately it shows in every aspect of the stay. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Ecotel Dahab at all, and I definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.
