Great property!
Forgan Cottage provided quite an enjoyable stay. The property owner Tricia was very organized and communicated everything well ahead of time. The cottage was clean, comfortable, roomy and functional. The location was convenient to shopping, dining and pubs as well as golf links. Shuttle service and bus station nearby. Thanks again for a great visit! We’ll be back.

Absolutely Outstanding
There are no words that can describe this little heaven within about 200 yards from one of the best streets in ST Andrew’s I have stayed in VRBO’s all over the world and this place is absolutely outstanding Lovely sized accommodation, great backyard and patio area A perfect spot for a great 3 day trip with family and friends for a wedding in St Andrew’s Book and enjoy Tom and my 5 friends

Wonderful stay!
Forgan Cottage is so charming, and such a great location to walk anywhere in St Andrews. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. And there was even a lovely welcome package. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. We will be back.

Stunning accommodation in St Andrews
I stayed here recently for a business golf trip to St Andrews. The communication with the owner in advance of our stay was first class. She provided us with all the information we needed to check in smoothly and was quick to respond to a few questions I had. The cottage is absolutely stunning, the rooms are huge and extremely comfortable. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The huge converted basement is ideal for storage, and the garden is the perfect outdoor space to relax. The cottage is only 10 mins walk to the Old Course and the centre of town. I would highly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for a place in St Andrews. We will definitely be back. ★★★★★

Fantastic Time At Forgan Cottage
We had a fantastic time in St. Andrews and our stay at Forgan cottage. The Graham’s are excellent hosts and have thought of everything to make your stay a very memorable one. The cottage is in an excellent location (easy walking to Attractions and Pub’s) within the town of St. Andrews. It is very nicely decorated and very comfortable as it has been totally refurbished. We are looking forward to staying at Forgan cottage during our next visit to St. Andrews.

We really enjoyed our stay at Forgan Cottage. The house was very comfortable and beds wonderful. Kitchen was small but still very functional. A lovely back garden beautifully planted, so pretty. Location was good for the town but like everywhere in st Andrew’s parking is a challenge. The owner was always available when we needed her. Would like to return.

Wonderful cottage walking distance to town.
Forgan cottage was a perfect spot to stay while visiting St. Andrews. Tricia had everything we could need ready for us! The cottage was truly spectacular- from the outside patio to the fact that we could walk into town! Next time we visit we will definitely book the Forgan cottage.

Beautiful House

A Fantastic Home in the Heart of St. Andrews
A great home for family stays or for golf trips. The house is just a few steps away from the the middle of town and quick access to golf and all that St.Andrews has to offer. Very clean and orderly, and a great back patio for bbq’s or a afternoon cocktail. Tricia is quick to respond and a gracious host.

A perfect cottage in a perfect location in St Andrews with superb hosts.
The property is even better than pictured, and the perfect blend of location and access. We stayed with an another couple and our teenage son. We also entertained our daughter and her husband there (they live in St Andrews). Perfect location close town (few 100 feet) but with free parking nearby. Access to both shopping areas (Market street and the Aldi/ M&S) The unit is exquisite, nicely appointed and with all the touches you need (full sized washer and dryer, dishwasher, extra freezer and fridge. The outdoor space is incredible. Ducks in the burn behind and the furniture and backyard space on nice days are amazing. The kitchen is deceptively well planned. We cooked for up to 8 with no problems. There must be a special time/space warp that made it bigger. The hosts were amazingly receptive by all modes of communication. We had a few requests and they were happy to work with us. I have never had a better host for a stay. We have stayed in apartments and cottages 6 times in last 4 years in St Andrews and nearby towns. This was the nicest location with best hosts. A perfect spot for up to three couples to stay, and if others are nearby perfect place to host if they want to stop by for a visit.

A quaint cottage with a luxurious interior
We had a lovely stay at Forgen Cottage. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with super beds. The living room is very comfortable and the kitchen is newly refitted to a very high standard. The jewel in the crown is the outdoor space which is perfect for relaxing in at the end of a busy day enjoying all that St Andrews has to offer.

Perfection
Idyllic cottage to take in all that St.Andrews has to offer. The cottage was cozy, updated and well appointed. The pictures hardly do it justice. Great backyard space for relaxing and we discovered a path just outside the back gate that makes its way to the pier. Very close to all of the action. We look forward to coming back and staying here again. Thanks.

Lovely stay in centre of St Andrews
Lovely cottage handily located for town. Much bigger than it looks from the outside and very nicely decorated. Only slight downside is there isn’t any parking but we never had to park more than a minute’s walk away. Wonderful small town with amazing beaches, would definitely recommend staying here.

Return visit to this property after several years
The cottage was, as previously experienced, beautifully clean and comfortable. Our teenage granddaughters greatly appreciated the fact that we were only a few minutes walk from the centre of St Andrews. The garden has been nicely upgraded since our last visit and we were able to snatch some time, in between numerous showers, relaxing in this lovely area

Lovely cottage in central location
Patricia’s cottage is comfortable & cosy with a great garden and everything you could possibly need for a great stay in St Andrews. The location is very central and is a 5 minute walk to the town centre. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to stay here again.

I was unable to travel due to COVID. I had to isolate because I had been in contact with someone who tested positive. However those in the family who stayed in the house were delighted with location comfort cleanliness and household amenies. Hopefully I can visit there in the future

Wonderfully equipped cottage.

Beautiful, cosy, comfortable cottage, just minutes walking away from St Andrew’s city centre. And even though the weather was not fantastic, we made many long walks along the beautiful beach, alongside the famous golf courses. We had a great time.

Extremely well-set up place, ideal accommodation for visitors to St Andrews. We did find the 13.5 tog duvet provided for the main bedroom much too hot, and would suggest that for summer visitors a much lighter duvet (or blanket + top sheet) should be provided.

Hi thank you for your review. I'm sorry we were unable to provide a lighter duvet at short notice. The majority of our guests are from abroad and find our Scottish weather quite chilly.

Golf getaway for 5 gents in St Andrews
Plenty of space. Ample hot water. Great location to town and golf. Beautiful back yard. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the town of St Andrews.

The cottage was our perfect home for graduation week. It’s was an easy walk to town and right next door to a lovely hair dresser. Even though there’s only one shower, no one ever had to wait. The sheets were lovely and we enjoyed having a washer and dryer for our clothes.

Beautiful comfortable cottage.
Our stay was wonderful and relaxed. The cottage was very well equipped and the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable and large. The bathrooms also very modern and very clean. The cottage was only a short walk into St Andrews which was a bonus. We would certainly not hesitate to recommend this cottage and we would stay here again.

Cozy Cottage close to Town Center
Enjoyed the stay at the cottage, very clean, comfortable and cozy. Easy walk to surrounding restaurants, shops and pubs. Highly recommended. Wonderful cottage with good location
Frogan Cottage was perfect for our stay in St Andrews. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The living spaces were well appointed and there was plenty of information of things to do and the history in the area. I would highly recommend Forgan Cottage.

A cozy little house that's very convenient to walking into town.
We enjoyed our stay in Forgan Cottage. With only one shower, I wouldn't recommend having 6 people in the 3 bedrooms.The only thing we found lacking was that there was no freezer area in the refrigerator. So no ice! Otherwise just great!

Thank you for your review. There is a second fridge and full size freezer in the basement I'm sorry you didn't notice them. Thankfully, although there is only one shower, the cottage has constant hot water so it usually isn't an issue with 6 people.

Excellent location for a special family holiday
My family and I (my parents, husband and two children) had a wonderful stay in this extremely comfortable and well equipped holiday home. The central location was ideal too. A real highlight was breakfast on the sunny back garden patio. Patricia has clearly put a lot of thought into preempting her guests' every need and we wanted for nothing. Highly recommended!

Wonderful, well equipped home, walking distance to all in St Andrews.
6 of us stayed at Forgan house and enjoyed it all, from the lovely garden with outside seating in the sunshine!!! To the comfortable living /dining area, roomy for all. The beds and linens are very good quality, and the bathrooms modern. Golfing in St Andrews was challenging but sunny! And very windy! But really fun to play. Looking forward to our next trip to St Andrews and Forgan house. Thank you Patricia.

Lovely convenient property
The house is conveniently located just one block down from the end of South Street, about a 7 - 10 minute walk to the golf course, just minutes to shopping and the restaurants. The house itself was spotless, prettily decorated and comfortable. The bedding is very nice. There is ample room for 6 people to relax and enjoy themselves. We will definitely stay there again and we HIGHLY recommend it. The value is excellent. Patricia was lovely and we had absolutely no problems.

Clean, spacious, conveniently located
This cottage was very clean and well equipped, and the washer/dryer was a big help since we were five days into our trip. A bit of a hike to town and even further to the links, but close to the botanical garden and the local shops and restaurants on south street.

Thank you for your feedback I'm delighted you found the cottage clean and well equipped. I'm sorry you felt the cottage was a bit of a walk to town most guests find it very convenient for accessing the main parts of town. Just to reassure guests , Tesco on Market St is 0.4 miles and the 1st tee of the Old Course at the R & A clubhouse is 0.6 miles from the cottage.

Exceedingly Nice Rental Close to City Center
We stayed at Forgan Cottage in late August, and could not have been happier. The tipping point in choosing this location was it's washer and tumble dryer. This was important to us as we planned an extended stay elsewhere in Europe after Scottish golf. However, in looking at the sum total of convenience to the city center, St. Andrews golf, St. Andrews site, pubs, restaurants, garden stylish decorations, comfort, etc., this proved to be a excellent rental. It is well represented in the pictures provided on the website. Also, while not directly on The Scores, I found the value to be well worth the short walk to Old Course/R&A parts of town. Finally, I should add that the owner, Patricia, was excellent. The rooms were made up as we wished, the house is well stocked with utensils, and everything was in complete working order. She was also very helpful with local recommendations one would normally not receive outside of a hotel. In sum total, we have stayed in many different VRBO rentals, and I would highly recommend Forgan Cottage as one of our best self-catering rentals.

Fabulous!
My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Forgan Cottage! The location was perfect for exploring all of St. Andrews - close to downtown, golfing, shopping, restaurants, and sites. The home was very comfortable and overall lovely! The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of room for all of us, the gardens were beautiful, and we so enjoyed being able to do laundry. Patricia was wonderful to work with and has done a beautiful job with this rental. Thank you, thank you! We look forward to returning in the future!!
