Best place to stay in Cape Breton
I can’t recommend this place enough, and it most definitely won’t be our last time to visit. We were storm stuck here and Kim went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable and safe. Again, we will definitely be back and look forward to our next stay. Thank you Kim again.

Served our needs
This house was a good place to stay as we enjoyed the Celtic Colours music festival. Its location made it easy to get to the concerts, and it is minutes from the Cabot Trail. It t had everything we needed, and the owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Pleasant and affordable location as jump-off to Cape Breton activities
Good location for accessing the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Highlands NP. Also only a few minutes away from The Gaelic College and its wonderful weekly Wednesday night ceilidhs. Only real downside of this property is its location so close to Hwy 105, which means there is a fair amount of traffic noise in what would otherwise be a very peaceful setting. Driveways were a bit hard to spot.

Amazing Location
We loved how close this property was to the Cabot Trail and only 45 minutes from Sydney. It's great for those who want to spend lots of time exploring the Trail. The owner was responsive and helpful

Cape Breton trip
This cottage was in a great location and made it easy to get to any local attractions. There was vehicle noise from the highway which made keeping the windows open challenging. Kim was a very responsive host!

Home near Baddeck
Spacious and comfortable use of whole cottage. Sleeps up to 8. Conveniently close to Baddeck as a central place to explore the rest of the island.

Convenient location
Kim was a very gracious and responsive host and has a lovely location close to Cape Breton trail, about 10-15 minutes away from stores and amenities. Overall the house was clean and comfortable. It was a bit tricky to locate the property coming in the late evening, even with the instructions. I'd recommend more visible signage. Beds were Ok, the main bed upstairs could be more comfortable. Some brighter lighting on the lower floor would be better as well. Towels should probably be replaced as they have a musky odour, and some holes in the walls on the lower level should be closed up. We found a few ants and a mouse. Overall though, the property was a good stay.

Nice place, excellent property management, great location
It was a short but enjoyable stay. The property is spacious, clean and convenient to access a lot of attractions. Kim had provided great service and is always timely on any of our inquiry. Definitely will consider the same place in our future visit to Cape Breton.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.
Beautiful cottage with all of the amenities. Close to the town of Baddeck, St. Ann's Bay, and the Gaelic College. Wonderful hosts!

Great location
Excellent location for access to Baddeck and Cabot trail counter-clockwise, including the Gaelic College. I would give it 41/2 stars if I could. The bed on the main floor is quite uncomfortable. We happened to be camping before we came and the memory foam we had improved it greatly. The only bathroom is on the main floor and the stairs up from the rooms in the converted basement are quite steep. Overall we were comfortable and would stay again.

South Haven Accommodation
Very nice stay. The house was very clean and well equipped for a week long stay. The host provided check-in information well in advance of arrival. Wi-fi availability was great as a family member was studying online. Netflix and cable TV was also available which was nice.

Beautiful Cape Breton,N.S, Canada
This was a beautiful place to stay in Cape Breton. It was an excellent location as it was close to everything we wanted to do! The house was perfect for 6 adults and had everything we needed. All we had to bring was food and our clothes. Kim was amazing at answering any questions I had and she was a lovely lady. I would definitely recommend this beautiful little cottage . I can’t wait to go back in the fall and see all the beautiful colours ,it is truly one of the most beautiful spots in Canada!

Location was ideal for touring around Cabot Trail. Home was spotless, but main floor bedroom was small and very limited on outlets for cell phones and CPAP machine. Could also hear road noise from busy road it was on. Enjoyed the area immensely and highly recommend Cedar House Restaurant for a great meal.

Home was very clean and tidy. Close to Celtic College which a real plus. Just under an hour to Sydney. A half mile to the Cabot Trail and all that implies. Road noise was noticeable but an even swish of traffic which was easy to ignore. For those guests who love to read rather than watch TV, a couple of good, free standing, floor reading lamps would be a welcome addition.

Relaxed and very easy to get on the cabot trail.
When we did not go out, stayed inside we just felt in our own home and comfortable. If you only are interested in the Cabot Trail, that is the best location.

Enjoyed our stay!
The house was clean and comfortable. Well decorated and an excellent spot to enjoy the scenic drives, including the Cabot Trail. (We did see two moose on that drive.) Kim, the owner, stopped by to check on us, friendly and personable. Had some good suggestions of restaurants and things to do. Extremely impressed with the washer and dryer :-)
